Ugh! Can anyone even tell?

Quote  |  Reply

I've been at this since January and I don't really see a change.

28.2 pounds lost and it should be twice that much ugh. I hate this "before pic" so much. We were in the butterfly house and it was like 100 degrees outside and about twice that much inside the "butterfly area" Apologies for that nasty pic.

I'm just trying to move more. I was doing exercise every day but it seemed to slow things down so now I shoot for every other day at least. I'm trying to stay under calorie count's suggested calorie target (1840). Since January I've went from 334 to 306. It's slow but I guess I'll take it!

Thanks guys, that made me feel better today.

I can definitely see a difference! Especially in the stomach and and in between your stomach and hips. Your doing great, keep up the good work! I know it's hard, but you can do it! :D

I see the difference!  But you know what? Since its hard to tell for you because it is you.....why don't you try something. I think this will open your eyes..... :)

Put on the same clothes that you had on, on your very first picture. Then take a picture and put it side by side.

You will see!!!!Cool

slow means it will be permanent!!! :)

You see yourself everyday, so it is difficult to notice a big change.  However, someone who doesn't see you very often could definitely tell a difference.  Don't be hard on yourself.  28+ pounds is an impressive weight loss, especially if you've done it all since January.  The last time I dieted, I lost almost 30 pounds and went from a snug size 16 to a comfy size 12.  That is a big difference.  But, like you, I didn't notice it as much as others did even with seeing the scale, seeing the drop in sizes, and seeing a loss in measurements (which I used to take every Sunday evening and plot on a spreadsheet graph).  It's much harder to see it yourself than it is for others to see it.

I can definately see a change from pic 1 to pic 3, and although less noticible I can see  some change from pic 2 to 3 as well. Just hang in there. You see yourself every day so differences can be hard to see in yourself. That's why it's good to keep a pair of "fat pants" and write down measurements so you can see your progress when you feel like you haven't had any.

I started needing to lose 60 pounds, and noone said anything until I had lost 20 lbs. That's 1/3 of my goal! Even then not that many ppl said anything, but people who don't see me often (out of state relatives) noticed. My theory is the more you need to lose the more you have to lose before people start saying anything.

Congratulations on your progress and don't give up!

Hi Heather!

I can tell a difference.  I have lost 60 myself since Januray, and just last night someone I hadn't seen since sometime last year said to me. "You look different....You changed your hair!" Undecided  Ummm...yeah, but what about the other person I lost?? HELLO???!!!  Anyway, hang in there.  If you lose it slowly, It'll stay off!! Keep going girl-you'll get there!

Hi Heather!!
