OMG,

Another day of doing absolutely nothing at work!!   I am an accountant for a small family owned business.  They pay me well and insist that I be here 40 hours per week.  But, they only have work for about 4 hours a week.  So for 36 hours a week I play games on the comp, read my personal email, talk on the phone to friends and family, read up on my soaps, etc...

My boss is off on a cruise so there won't even be 4 hours of work this week!

I AM SO BORED!

I have a job that is something like that, well i have some weeks that go by like that at least. Don't you feel like your brain stops working after not using it for a while. I play sudoku, keeps my brain busy!
sign up for an online class...then you can be productive at least while you sit there....

write a novel.... learn to crochet or knit...  do taxes for people and get double paid :)....

bring in an exercise ball or weights and work out..... um... play online with the rest of us!
Buy the time quittin' time rolls around I'm practially drooling on myself from lack of stimulation!
wow those are good ideas drea99

last year I was in a similar situation only not that I didn't have work to do, but that I couldn't do it because I had to wait on other people to complete their part before I could do mine... it was very frustrating...

I like the idea of an online class!  I would do that!
drea99,

That is funny you say that!  I have learned to both quilt and crochet from reading on the net during work.

I have made several afghans and am working on my second quilt.

I may look into an online class of some sort.  I love to learn new stuff.
I would have loved a job like that.  Think of all the books I could have read!  Instead, I always had high pressure work with deadlines and all kinds of problems to be solved.  I was always putting out fires.  Retiring was a blessing!
