Exercise firms up those muscles and reduces the appearance of cellulite.  I used to have it--I got active, now I don't.  Unfortunately, it isn't easy, you have to put in the effort, but it can be done.

i see what your saying its been 3 months i ve joined the gym , in my 20's weigh 118 i thought i was big , well after child birth and with a lot of  weight gain during my pregnany my cellulite horrifs me but i must say excerise seems to helpexcept me toning up with weights is not making me loose weight  but gain it , i m told its muscle - i hope i m on the right track

 thanks

You are definitely on the right track.  You can't go wrong with exercise.  It boosts your mood, improves your health, makes you lose weight, AND reduces cellulite.  Keep it up and I'm sure you'll see more changes.  Remember, any weight you gain is muscle, as long as you're keeping your calories where they need to be.  And muscle gain means faster metabolism, which means more calories burned!

i will definetly keep it up , thanks

it's my goal this year , and so hopefully i will be proud enough to post a

photo of me in a bikini someday soon

I'm totally in agreement with ratinhat88-

Regardless of what people say, it CAN be done!!  Yea-good news!

I did it with lots of weight training.  No, I didn't bulk up and look manly, but I do like that my butt is higher and my legs don't look like I laid out, face down, in a hail storm.  It takes a lot of weight training, but it looks so much better.  Plus, I like the strength of my legs now.  Try it!

Lunges and squats with dumbbells!  Like txhardford said, it CAN be done!
:| I need to change my screen name so I don't always think, "Wtf, why are they tryin' to get rid of me," or something.

HAVE SEX!  If you've got a willing partner, get creative with the positions that'll work out your legs (cramped spaces, standing sex, squatting sex, one leg over here and another leg over there sex..)  It'll do wonders for your thighs and self esteem.
Cardio Exercise will help tremendously: and after doing that for a bit: weight lifting with TIGHTEN up the rest: leaving you with less visible cellulite for sure!!! And this 30 minutes of exercise is not going to cut it (literally) I am talking one hour a DAY!

Plenty of water

Plenty of exercise

Body brush and massage exfoliating rubs into the problem areas and smother with any cream containing vitamin e every morning and evening (after exfoliation)

It does work, cellulite is just fat cells clumped together under your skin, to get rid of them you just need to break them down, no magic potions or creams required.

Cellulite hits all women at some stage in their life so i've heard. And I very much doubt it's anything to do with a certain weight...

I'm a UK size 8 in jeans and I'm only 16, yet would you believe it... I too have cellulite. However i have a fairly big bum for my size. It's not ridiculously big but people do notice it... And i love my big bum to be honest. I only started getting cellulite a few months ago but it is noticeable. I heard you get it in your twenties. I don't think so! Haha.

I'm trying different things to help it so i'll report back. Haha. But i've heard that massage with any moisturiser helps the area. And generally excercise. Running is a big helper. I know I'm only young but I can tell the difference from when i used to run a lot to now, where i do little excercise and for one thing, it isn't as toned.
But general stretched and tensing can help. The biggest helper it squatting. That's one thing i've started.

But generally healthy eating so i've been told. But i'm not an unhealthy eater and I still have it. So cellulite is clearly not a lot to do with age, size or immensely on diet. Tone up the area... That's what i'm trying.

Hope it might help a little if it hasn't all been said already. x

i ve lost 20 pounds and now at 120-122

i must say i feel alot better , the cellulite is still alive and well

it may look less apparent but still there so i keep at my excersises

and hope eventually it will show less and less

thanks to all who replied

good for losing 20lbs, congrats. i too have the same problem, even after losing 20lbs. i think it also has to do with how long you've had cellulite. mine has been with me & steadily growing for decades now. the longer it hangs around the harder it gets. i do have to say that having shapely legs does help the appearance. im not giving up to be in the best shape i can but im more realistic about it.
