ive already reached my caloric limit for the day and it's only 3:30 in the afternoon!!
I know people have cheat days, but to be honest this is only my third day seriously counting calories.
what should I do, any advice? THANKS!
drink lots of water for the rest of the day, eat veggies when you get hungry b/c they're low cal and very filling... and even if you just go for a walk or a run, you'll up the amount of calories that your body needs for the day, and thus won't be going over your limit by having dinner. good luck! ![]()
Make today a maintenance day and eat a few hundred more calories. Cutting yourself off from food at 3:30pm is likely to end up making you starving the next day, so instead, adjust your calories a bit and eat vegetables, lean protein and whole grains.
okay thats really good advice. i just freaked out a bit and attacked a carrotcake.
but im drinking lots of water and im still gonna have dinner (if im a little over, whatever, right?) veggies, your time has come!

You should use the first few weeks to get used to counting calories, and then take a look back and assess the situation. Just focus on counting your calories at first. Then, later on you can asses whether or not your calorie limit too low? you are eating the right or wrong foods? you are eating at the right or wrong times?
Most of us here are going through a lifestyle change, and that is not going to happen overnight. Give yourself a chance for succsess, and take it slow. We gained this weight slowly. It is natural that we would lose it the same way.
It took me a couple of week just to get used to logging and that process helped me to choose better food items since I didn't want to log really high calorie items.
