The ultimate sandwich
- Genuine Bavarian Whole Rye Bread (from Wholefoods)
- 1 large egg
- 1 slice of black forest ham (from Costco)
- 1 slice of honey roasted turkey (from Costco)
- Fage 0%
- Spices (black pepper, garam masala)
- Sliced Veggies (cucumber, onion, tomato, romanie lettuce)
- Mustard mix (dijorn, spicy, grained)
Directions:
To cook an egg heat a skillet spray it with cooking spray or (my method) damp paper towel in olive oil and wipe the skillet. Break an egg and add pepper and garam masala on one side. After few minutes flip it and let it cook through.
To assemble the sandwich spread some Fage 0% on the bread put some cubumbers, then layer turkey, tomato, ham, onion, egg, mustard mix, and rommanie lettuce on top to hold it all together.
Whole thing comes out to about 350 Calories, and is very filling! Plus it has a nice mix of fats, protein and complex carbohydrates. :)
P.S. Please do NOT post substituting eggs for egg whites or other such silliness it will ruin it. IMHO.

Cooked, not raw.

Yum. I make something similar, but add eggplant.
But then again, I'm pretty weird.

Actually in my latest revision (the one with cheese instead of eggs), I also add eggplant. I spread some crushed garlic on the slices and "grill" them on a skillet. I usually put two slices on the sandwich one at the bottom near the bread and one at a top near the cheese.
