Ultra Simple Diet

Quote  |  Reply
Hi!  Gypsyfan again!  Did you see the June 26th, 2007 issue of Woman's World, with the cover article, Crash Off 16 lbs This Week!  It introduces the Ultra Simple Diet by Mark Harmon, MD, designed for health, but weight loss is the result.  So far, I'm adding in foods from the week-long plan.  I'll start Monday, June 25th, at 183 lbs, and give it a try.  It makes me feel good so far with all the healthy fat.  It's easier to stay away from sugar.

Maybe this will help solve sugar cravings.  It's a relief so far! No sugar or dessert cravings!

and I'll post my results on Monday, July 2nd.

I tried to look at it.  Do you have to pay for it???
There is nothing like a "healthy diet" no diet is healthy, if it would be, then it wouldn't be called diet.

You might lose 10 lbs in a week, but even if it will work: What will you do with all that skinn that can't adjust fast enough to that loss? Go under surgery? Great idea!

And that said, it won't work. You might lose the weight, but you will gain it as soon as you start to eat normal again.

Just eat less than you consume, and you'll definitely lose weight, not 10 lbs in a week but perhaps in a month, that is healthy, not this wonder-diet!
No thats' the point. the word diet by itself is dumb. Diet means the way you eat.
I am on a diet - a gaining weight but healthy diet
Everyone here is on a diet. Its those who are on FAD or CRASH diets that are dumb
10lb a week is CRAZY.
just eat healthy and 1-2lb a week is plenty. Otherwse you'd all fade away
Im pretty sure I was spammed this diet.  Also, there is a glaring spelling error on the fron page.  Something is fishy here.

I didn't even read it, because of the awful webdesign ^^

Hi All,

Did it for a week - lost 1 lb; 1/2 inch off hips, 1 inch off abs, and had no sugar cravings, so I'll keep on it and report back!

I am on Day 6 of this wonderful program.  It has cleared all the chemicals, additives and toxins from my body.  I have only lost 5 lbs. -- a pound a day.  I say this because it is not a "crash" diet for me -- I think that was the advertisement of the magazine.  Dr. Hyman doesn't want it to be thought of that way.

What will I do the day after?  Well, I will increase my calories up to where they should be (the Ultimate Week Diet was about 1000-1300), depending on how much nut butter you put in your morning shake, and whether you chose to saute your veggies in olive oil.

However, this week has taught me that my body responds to all-organic, all natural, no sugar, no flour -- and that's how I intend to continue to eat, for the most part.  And I intend to eat a whole lot more veggies than I was.  Now that I know I can, I will.  I'm not a veggie fan.  Also, I must have my pasta, but it will be whole wheat from now on.

Hi,

Good job!  I am glad you had success with it!  Since I couldn't do without coffee, I never could do it 100%.  Also, the brown rice was causing me to gain - maybe going overboard on it, but I feel better since I eliminated it and added back in eggs!  The veggie meals, smoothie with flax/borage oil, flax seeds, protein powder & berries, hot water with lemon, and green tea are all keepers!

The moderator deleted a post with a URL above, because she deemed it "promotional."  Well, I have nothing to gain from it, and it was informational.  Let me try posting another one with better design, and see what the moderator does.  Here's a page from the same site with fantastic resources for healthy, organic food:

Since you are viewing this post, I would like to alert staff of Calorie-Count .com that there is no entry for plain, old-fashioned Quaker oats.
