Weight Loss

I did the BMR thing and I said I wanted to lose 25 lbs. by August 1. And it said I should eat 1500 cals a day... but... before I joined CC I was ALREADY doing around 1500 per day. Should I cut down to like 1200? What do I do?

You mean you were eating 1500 cals before you were actively trying to lose weight? Or just before you started using cc?
I would stay at 1500 for now. Have your calories come from healthier foods (Fruits, veggies, lean meats, fish, whole grains...) and start an exercise program if you don't already have one. See how that goes. If you don't lose in a few weeks lower your calories by 100 and try again.
It's not going to hurt you to go to 1200 calories. You should lose the weight faster if you do; however, the slower the weight comes off the longer it will stay off. Just a suggestion.

I guess I mean to say I've been counting calories and allowing myself 1500 cals per day for a long time. Like as long as I can remember haha. Sure, sometimes I went over but, usually around 1500. I think the problem was that the 1500 came from crap like greasy, fatty, carby foods instead of healthy foods like whole grains, fish, veggies, fruits... for example, I used to be like "Okay, I had 2 slices of pizza so that's 900 calories, and a slice of cake, that's 600.. so 1500 for the day, good job!!" Yeah, not. Haha, Even though it's 1500 I think that's why I didn't lose weight.. cuz I ate junk. Is that possible?
Age, height, current weight, gender, goal weight, amount of exercise done in a week / day, exercise type, standard daily diet...?
Well I'm 20, female, currently weigh 140, 5'4", goal weight is 115, I get to the gym 3-4 times per week and burn from 200-400 cals depending on how long I stay, and I just modified my diet to make it healthy so now it's all veggies, fruits, salads, lean chicken (I never eat red meat - haven't in probably 10 years), fish, seafood, whole grains, etc.
I have another question... So it says I should have 1500 cals per day and my daily expenditure doing no other exercise is 2100 cals soooo that would be.. 1500-2100 = 600. 3500/600 = around 6. So.. does that mean if I eat 1500 cals a day and do no other exercise, I will lose 1 pound every 6 days? So about one pound a week? Hmm.. I would really like to lose 2 lbs. a week or so. How do I do that?
