If I was under my limit yesterday...
Is it alright for me to be over today?
I went out to eat after working out with a friend, and didn't have a chance to calculate my burn or my intake that day, so I played it safe. Turns out I had close to 1000 cal deficite. In order to maintain (I really don't want to lose any more weight) should I eat more calories than my burn today?
Sorry I'm always asking so many questions haha...
technically yes, maintenance is about balancing calories in versus calories out, so technically you lost weight yesterday, and in order to maintain you would effectively need to gain it back by eating what you didn't eat yesterday. so, if you look at your overall intake for a weeks time then you would break even given that you ate to maintenance on the rest of the days. make sense? so yes, eat what you didn't eat yesterday to maintain.
Yeah I agree with chrissy. I assume your body will naturally be more hungry for those lost calories.
Thanks, that's what I thought, but I figured I'd check, y'know, just to be safe...
And you're definitely right about being hungry for the extra calories...it's 4:30, and I've had over 1000 cals. Usually I'm at about 800-900 right now, and do the majority of my eating at night...
