There are not many groups for younger people, I guess because we're kind of the minority on this site (or so it seems at least). Further, I have never seen a group to really motivate those who are both young, with more than a little shaping up to do (10-15 lbs)

I gained half a pound. I have been doing a lot better with exercising, but haven't been eating well at all. I also splurged on cheesecake last night! I counted my calories all day and had lots left but I know I shouldn't stuff my face at night, especially not with cheesecake! I am going to try my best to eat right this week. My weight has been fluctuating that last couple of weeks between 162 and 164. I haven't been giving it my all, so at least I know why I'm not losing.
I also wanted to welcome all the new people who have joined this forum! I am very excited that this forum will continue!

I think some of the weight loss was water weight but I know I lost some pounds as well. I hope to lose at least 1 pound think week but lets hope for 2 :) :)

Biggest Motivation: I haven't ever really been in my "healthy weight-range" since before high school (then I was 150, still high for my height). I wasn't aware of my weight before then, so I have no comparison. But I'd really like to dress up one time and not be self-conscious when I walk into a room of attractive people.

i used to get on the tread, starting at 30min, then on my 3rd week i was going for 3 hours, steepest incline, and a swift walk, i didnt really loose much, but i felt more firm.. and HAPPY :) im in college now, working 2 jobs, living at home..... and the ppl at the gym are scary.. im going to try going in the evenings when its dead..and its a free college gym.. so i hope i can stick to it.. im going to start this coming week, after finals... im pooped today...worked 17 hours between the 2 jobs...
the only thing that keeps me on the tread forever is watching cartoons.. they are fast, somewhat amusing... and i guess just addicting.. i hope i can stay with this profile and not slack

I gained 3 lbs since last week but I had an insane binge on sunday so I think if I'm good it should be down by next week!
I finally got back to the gym, and I think I can start going there regularly again (at least, on the days I don't have to work!). I walked on the treadmill for 49 minutes, maintaining a heartrate of approximately 130 bpm. Then I went into the weight room and did 20 reps per set, for three sets per arm, working my arms. It was pretty good. My arms are very tired, and it may be a challenge to dance in class tomorrow.
This morning I was at 166.2, but I expect another drop tomorrow, because it's the end of the day immediately after drinking a full water bottle, and I'm only at 166.8 right now. So YAY. Thought you ought to know.

I ran for 25 minutes and did a strength training session that works my whole body. I do two sets of 10-12 reps of each move, there are eight moves.
By the end my arms were DEAD and my legs were rubbery but I still ran two miles. I've been stuck at 154-152 for so long now, So i hope if I really start pushing myself in my work-outs the scale will let me see the 140's.
