Under 25 with over 25 to lose.

Quote  |  Reply
Hi.
There are not many groups for younger people, I guess because we're kind of the minority on this site (or so it seems at least). Further, I have never seen a group to really motivate those who are both young, with more than a little shaping up to do (10-15 lbs)

My name is Amelia I am 16 years-old, 5'9, 209 lbs, and I hope to get to 145 by March. I live in Newfoundland, Canada and my biggest motivation is looking as good on the outside as I feel on the inside(cheesy, I know).

So, if you want to join, leave your

Name(or nickname if you'd rather):
Height/weight:
Goal
Age:
Location:
Biggest Motivation

I'm not expecting big thing from this group seeing hopw little of the Calorie count population fits this criteria.

cheers!

Edit:
I figured we could add a weekly weigh in to add a little extra push and for support (i guess?)

How about Tuesday weigh ins, post with your:

Start weight:
Current weight:
Pounds left until goal:

And, to get a little chat going, what's your workout plan, any tips or secrets to share?

Amy - Oh, I just watch TV.  There are four or five TV's around the cardio equipment.  Today, on Judge Joe Brown, they were dealing with a law suit concerning hair extensions!  Apparently a girl wanted to only pay $600 for a $1100 job, and so the cosmetic person did a crummy job.  The cosmetic person won the suit.

I also do a brisk walk, trying to keep my heart rate around 130.  One of the trainers recommend you a certain number depending on age and fitness level.  So I keep it around 130, which is usually 3.7 mph on a 1.5 incline.  Feels pretty sluggish but it's my "fat burn zone" that I worry about.

In the gym, I do 3 sets of a "straight out" from the hip to the right, a "straight out" from the hip to the left, then the typical bicep movement.  So it's three different exercises, although I can think of others.  I just don't "know" what'll hurt my body and what's going to be good for me.

Hi there I'm Katie.

I'm 5 7' and i weight about 150 lbs. however i want to be 130 lbs
I'm a mature (and modest lol) 16 year old in lancaster pa

My biggest motivation is just in general.... the way i look. im really big into being fit and after my last year's binging from trying to gain weight (after being a scary 117 lbs and almost no fat) i gained alot of weight. not only that, ive gained so much weight that i cannot fit into my clothes and i dont have enough money to buy new ones.

I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO ADD FRIENDS in order to help myself with loosing weight and help others as well. ive been through alot so i think that i can help, however i still need help myself.

I have random "spaghetti sauce" binges.  Just the sauce, not the spaghetti.  I have poured bowls of sauce and eaten it with a spoon!
hahaha! That is random!! Do you make your own sauce?

I love North Carolina. I've spent most of my time visiting there in Charlotte but I was in Durham for about an hour. And I was on Emerald Isle for a week.

My heart is in North Carolina!! I'm a freak who loves humidity and the dessert, Arizona, is sort of humidity-less. :(
Aeetheri - Most of the time, yes.  *gives out recipe*  Two or three cans "12 oz" of stewed tomatoes (or 2 cups of naturally stewed - you MUST cut into tiny pieces or put it in the food processer), one full green bell pepper (chopped teeny tiny), one tbsp minced garlic (a little bit much but I love it), "some" garlic powder, "some" onion powder, "some" minced onions (if you don't mind it), oregano, Italian seasoning, soy sauce (keeps the sauce from getting too sweet), lemon juice (same function as soy sauce), occasionally about 1/2 cup meat, and my little "cheater" ingredient - Small Jar of Ragu.  Keeps it "saucy" and not just chunky.

I LOVE IT!

Anyways, still at 165.2, but still have a few days before the next weigh in...
hahaha now I'm craving spaghetti sauce!
164.0 yesterday, but it's wayyy up even though my deficit today was 600.  I had to eat 2500 Calories to get it that high.

I don't know how much more weight I want to lose.  25 sounds right... 139 lb...? Sure.
I'm not really sure how much more I want to lose either. I'm at a healthy BMI of about 23.6 but I have a body fat percentage of like 29%.

I'm kind of more about getting it down to about 23% and I don't really know how that will translate to a weight on the scale.
Name: Amy

Height: 5'7"

Start weight: 200 lbs

Current weight: 151
Goal weight: 135

I'm down 2 lbs today from last week but part of that was water weight to begin with. My average defecit this week was about 300.

I would love to be 149 by next Tuesday but I will so deal with 149.5 or 150 :)

name: erica.

height: 5'2".

age: 16 and a half.

current weight: 145 lbs.

short term goal weight (september 2nd?): 125 lbs.

long term goal weight: somewhere between 110-120 lbs.

Name: Morgan
Height/weight: 5'4" 189 lbs
Goal: 145 lbs
Age: 23
Location: Washington
Biggest Motivation: Fitting into my clothes again. I fit into a skirt Tuesday that hadn't fit since January, and it was incrediable.

Name : Pat

Height/weight: 5'7 176lbs

Goal: To be 140lbs-145lbs by October

Age: 19

Location: Los Angeles, California

Biggest Motivation: To be skinny and healthy once again :) Mainly to live a better healthy lifestyle, be able to not get tired as easily, and most of all to look and feel better :)

I forgot tuesday's weigh in... oops... I'll just lay out today's stats:

Current weight 164.6

Last weeks weight: 164.0

GAINED 0.6 this week.

It's okay.  I can be here for a few more days.

And welcome everybody, glad to see new faces!  I think we all can get to our goals if we really focus and treat our bodies like we should.  Health is our priority, not a 25" waist (inner secret hatred for models).

Megan

5'4"- Currently 168 pounds (down 22 pounds from my peak at 190!)

Initial goal was to reach 135 by September 27, 2008 (my wedding)

22 years old

Madisonville, Ky.

I want to lose weight so that I won't be so tired all the time, I will gain a more positive self-image and look hot in pictures again. Knowing that I'm getting married in September has really helped me stay motivated (well, sorta).
