There are not many groups for younger people, I guess because we're kind of the minority on this site (or so it seems at least). Further, I have never seen a group to really motivate those who are both young, with more than a little shaping up to do (10-15 lbs)

I have lost 2.5 lbs this week, 10 lbs total. I have 48 lbs left to lose in order to reach my goal weight of 120 lbs. I am feeling good about what I have accomplished, but am also frustrated. I am doing well for the most part, weekends are really tough for me. It's hard to count calories when you eat away from home. I would like to lose the weight a lot faster. I need to realize that I didn't gain this weight over night so I am not going to lose it over night either.

I'm trying to find some support outside family. They're fine but I'm looking for more "close to my age" help, most of my friends are pretty skinny.
I'm Lauren. I am 5'5" and I am 195lb and 17 years old. I am actually down 10 from about 4 weeks ago. Band camp for 8+ hours a day helped with that. But now band camp is over.
I'd like to be about 150 by prom season next year. Its my senior year and I'd like to enjoy dress shopping for once. I'm trying to get to the point where excercising and eating right are natural habits so that when I go to college (i'm going to a small school, not in a city) I can try and continue it somewhat so that I don't come out 4 years later 40 lbs heavier. So, any ideas and just happy thoughts would be well appreciated.

Ok guys this is just a vent! I am so freaking frustrated right now!!! I didn't get a chance to go to the gym yesterday OR today so now I have to go to the gym on Saturday and work my ass off to make up for the past 2 days. And I haven't lost any weight in the last 2 weeks!!! I am getting so discouraged. However, i am hoping that the reason why I haven't lost any weight in the last 2 weeks is b/c I have started lifting weights consistently in the last 2 weeks. So I am hoping I have lost fat and gained muscle!! Grrr!!!! Any motivation or tips you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for listening to me complain. Oh, and by the way I have modified my goal from 130 to 135, partly because I am lazy and partly b/c if I only lost another 10 pounds I think I would still look pretty damn good. So I didn't lose any weight this week, but am honestly just thankful that I didn't gain. I am trying something new this week, it's a cleansing diet. I know it goes against CC but I just need a jump start and honestly think that it will be really good for my body. Lots of nutrients and vitamins that I'm sure my body is in dier need of. Also, I am having a hard time giving up fried foods and fast food. I am hoping that once I accomplish this I will have enough willpower and respect for my body to give that crap up! I am on the cleansing diet for 11 days. Today is day one.
