Under 25 with over 25 to lose.
There are not many groups for younger people, I guess because we're kind of the minority on this site (or so it seems at least). Further, I have never seen a group to really motivate those who are both young, with more than a little shaping up to do (10-15 lbs)
My name is Amelia I am 16 years-old, 5'9, 209 lbs, and I hope to get to 145 by March. I live in Newfoundland, Canada and my biggest motivation is looking as good on the outside as I feel on the inside(cheesy, I know).
So, if you want to join, leave your

I'm not expecting big thing from this group seeing hopw little of the Calorie count population fits this criteria.
cheers!
Edit:
I figured we could add a weekly weigh in to add a little extra push and for support (i guess?)
How about Tuesday weigh ins, post with your:

And, to get a little chat going, what's your workout plan, any tips or secrets to share?

Start weight: 210
Last week's weigh-in: 187.8
Current weight: 185.8

Hi! I hope it's not too late to join!!!
My name is Rubia
Height/weight:5''5 and 158 lb
Goal: 129!!! (And I'm actually going to try to enjoy this)
Age: 18
Location: Latvia
I think what makes me different from other "losers" is that I want to have fun during this process and I don't think anyone can manage losing 30 lb unless they are positive about it.
I try to enjoy even peppermnt tea and really think of my body as a temple and think of what good and healthy things I'm feeding it :)
Good luck to everyone of you! : :)
Jess, Congrats on your success as well!! I was just reading your profile, you looked absolutely beautiful for your wedding! I am also a new Mom, well, my son is almost a year old now. Anyways, I am also wanting to lose weight and get back in shape before child number 2! I figure if that can't motivate me, then what will? Have you and your husband talked about when? It's crazy, once you have the first one there's all this planning like how far apart in age do you want your children. I just love being a Mom! Can't wait to do it all again. Wish this weight would just disappear! LOL!
Thanks p44657! My husband and I have actually already talked about it, and my only 'requirement' is that my son is for the most part out of diapers before we have another one, I don't want to pay for two kids worth of diapers. lol. I know, it has only been four and a half months but I love being a mom. All the smiles are so worth it! I wish it would disappear but then again I gained 57 pounds and I knew I wasn't having a 60 lb baby haha, only lost ten after delivery. But I am 25 lbs down and only 22 to get to prepregnancy, halfway there!
Congradulations on your baby! When are your plans for baby #2?
My name is Carissa.
I'm 19 years old.
And I live in Brooksville, Fl.
I am 5'4 and I weigh 165lbs.
My goal weight is 128.
I was always in the range of 125-135 up until my junior year and I really miss how I felt at that weight. It's really sad that I think about my weight 80% of the day and sometimes my low self esteem keeps me from doing things I really want to do. All of this is my motivation to reach my goal, I'm sick of not liking who I see in the mirror. I just want to lose this weight and be a lot happier than I am now.
My name is Effie, i'm 16 and i live in Canton, OH
right now i'm 5'5" and 149 my goal weight is 125-130
i started C-C about a week or two ago at 152 (i've peaked at 165) and right now i'm at 149. This winter i got really sick and lost some weight, i was down at 141 at my lowest, but over the summer i gained a lot back, my motivation is that i really want to be able to not constantly worry about covering stuff up or how i look next to my thinner friends. two of my closer buds, actually one is my cousin, have both lost weight in the past few years, they were orginally my size and now both look a lot thinner and seeing them made me kinda bummed out. Anyway right now i'm eating about 1250 cals a day (although i usually seem to go over by a hundred or two) and this semester in school i'm taking PE which requires 30 min of activity mon-fri. o and i also don't attend school i guess what you would normally consider, i do school online through a charter school so i have a lot sitting at my computer during the day. However i also drink a lot of water because of this so thats good! (i have to control those afternoon cravings somehow)
anyway sorry this is so long but i'm really excited about acutally sticking with it and losing it this time!
Height/weight: 5'7.5", started here at 193, my biggest 204 2 years ago
Goal: To be in shape again, to be healthy
Age: 24
Location: Ontario, Canada
Biggest Motivation: You probably don't want to know all of them.
I'm new to this post, but am glad that I found it. My goal right now is just to live a healthier life. I used to be v active, then I went to school and gained about 40-50lbs in undergrad. Doing my masters now (in anatomy of all things- which is one of the things that really prompted me to start losing the weight again and get in better shape - don't ask unless you want to know the answer).
I want to take things slow and do a little bit at a time. I just bought a scale yesterday and it says that I am about 8 lbs lighter than I really think I am, but I'll use that for my weigh-ins. According to that scale, I'm 184.5 (I'll take it). CC tells me that I should be 144.7, but I will be happy at around 160, I think. I just don't want to play the role of "pylon" whenever I play sports anymore.
My first goals:
-be under 175 by December (according to the scale in my room)
-the next pair of jeans that I will buy will be b/c I am too small for the pair I just bought, not b/c there is a rip btwn the thighs from my thighs rubbing together (ie buying a new pair b/c of size, not wear and tear)
Ok, so I uess it's weekly update day today? :)
And...
Start weight: 170lbs
Current weight: 156 lbs
Pounds left until goal: 27
Height/weight: 5 ft 1 inches, about 182 lbs (13 stone)
Goal: around 120 (8 stone 6 lbs) or a UK size 10
Age: 16
Location: London, UK
Biggest Motivation: I don't want to be the fat girl anymore. Also, I would like to be more healthy and 'athletic'. I don't want to play sports or anything but I don't want to be out of breath walking for 2 mins.
Good day to find this post as it is Tuesday so weigh-in 1 week from now!
Diet isn't going too well because we havn't got much food so I have eaten a ready meal but on that I diddnt have much else. This morning, I also had 2 pieces of wholemeal toast with strawberry Jam and for lunch, a hoummas and tomato bagal
I don't do any exercise but I walk a little bit. 5 mins to a bus stop get on two buses and a 5 mins walk to school. Then back again. There is a little bit of walking around school aswell but not much. Not much exercise then.
Starting weight: 178 (I am 5'2")
Last week: 168
This week: 163
I lost 5 pounds! 43 pounds until I reach my goal weight! I am doing an 11 day cleansing diet, I am on day 9. This is why I have been able to lose 5 pounds in a week. It has been extremely hard, especially over labor day weekend. I am happy that I stuck to it and will be even happier when I complete the 11 days. After that it's back to counting calories! I can finally say that I have lost 15 pounds! It's exciting.
Good Luck everyone!
(oops it got sent twice)
Height/weight: 5' 5" 208
Goal: 130 (I keep changing it so the range is about 130-140)
Age: 16

Biggest Motivation: Clothes and Health. I want to wear the clothes that I want to and not because it was the only thing that would fit (it's a bit lame but it motivates me) : ). And I want to become an overall healthy person.
Hey all!! Mind if I join?? I just found this website two days ago and am in love. This makes dieting make sense and fun! I have tried EVERY fad diet and diet pill to lose the weight as fast as I could, but finally realized the only way to do it is the right way.. slowly and permanently.
Name: Stephanie
Height/Weight: 5'6":173 lbs
Goal: 135
Location: Louisiana
Biggest Motivation: My health and clothes!!! I NEVER wear shorts anymore because of my huge legs and only wear baggy black/blue pants. I have two horses and loved to ride my horses, but the weight gain and college stress has made my jeans too small and I am too ashamed to by a size 14/16 jean. I want my life back. I was never skinny/in shape but I was comfortable with myself. I am tired of making excuses for my size so I am sticking with this. I need buddies to talk to through this. I have a fiance who expressed his concern for my weight gain, but he doesn't like helping me with this.
p44657~
I saw you are on an 11 day cleanse. Just curious if you are doing the Master Cleanse/Lemonade Diet? I know a few people that have started it, but never finished. I saw you are on day 9. CONGRATS!! That takes a lot of discipline. I was just wondering how it is working for you? I know some complain of headaches, shakes, etc. I have never really been able to talk to anyone about diets or weight loss. Everyone I am around is skinny (and go about keeping it off all the wrong way i.e. purging). Just curious...:P
Thank you! I am proud to say that I have accomplished the 11 day cleansing diet. The diet is by Isagenix. I ordered the stuff online after a friend of mine completed the diet with much success! On the non-cleansing days, you have a meal replacement shake for breakfast, for lunch you have a 400-600 calorie meal consisting of 3-5 oz of meat (should be chicken or fish) and the rest of your meal should be veggies. You can also use dressing of your choice. So for my lunch I alwasy made a big salad with low fat dressing and chicken. Every 2 hours you eat 2 dry almonds and a chocolate vitamin tablet. You also must drink a ton of water (half your body weight in ounces). On the cleansing days, you drink this cleansing drink 4 times throughout the day. The only food you get is the almonds and chocolate vitamin tablet every 2 hours. For the eleven days, Day 1-2 are shake days, 3-4 are cleansing days, 5-9 are shake days and 10-11 are cleansing days. Then you are done! Maintenance is to replace one meal a day with a shake and to cleanse once a week. It was very difficult, but I survived. I think it was so hard because I did it over Labor Day weekend and went to 3 barbeques! I just packed my lunch when I went. It was rough, but I made it and am proud of myself for surviving it! Now that I am off it, I am afraid to eat. I lost 8.5 pounds in 11 days, 19 inches. Pretty amazing huh? But now, the question is, will I gain that all back. I have tried just about every diet out there, and am finding that there is no such thing as a "miracle diet". It is going to take work to lose weight, I think I am coming to the realization that the only way to lose weight is to do it the right way. You know, the way that we all hate. Eat right and exercise. Sounds easy, but it takes forever. It's hard to stick with something when you only lose 1-2 pounds a week. But the truth is, if you do it this way, you will lose weight and keep it off. I think the Isagenix 11 day program, is great for cleansing. For cleaning your body of all the crap we put in our bodies. It is also a great way to flood your body with all the vitamins, nutrients and minerals that we deprive ourselves of. I'm not so sure if it is "great" for weight loss. Saturday and Sunday were my first 2 days off the diet. On Saturday, I had my son's first birthday party. We had a cookout, so hamburger, hotdogs, baked beans, pasta salads, the works! Surprisingly, I did very well. I started my morning with a bowl of Special K and lowfat milk, at the party I only ate one hotdog, some baked beans and some pasta salad. I could hardly finish what was on my plate! Probably because my stomach had shrunk so much. I only drank water and I didn't even have any cake! After the party ended, I had another hotdog and for dinner later that night, I had a half of hamburger. I normally would have eaten way more than that! And honestly, for a whole day, I don't think that was too much food. On Sunday I had 2 scrambled eggs, lunch was a leftover hotdog (should be good on those for a while! LOL!) and dinner was a trio meal from Noodles and Company-the calories for that was 630. Even though I didn't count my calories for the weekend, I think I stayed within my range of 1350, if not I wasn't much over. Well, I couldn't help but weigh myself this morning to see if the weight actually stayed off. I went from 159.5 to 165!! That's a 5.5 lb gain in 2 days!! I weighed myself twice, I didn't even believe the scale! I felt so defeated and so depressed all over again! I know they say not to put so much thought in what the scale says and more on how you feel. But my goodness, 5.5 lbs after I practically starved myself for 11 days? Then I realized, well that's it! I was probably eating less than 1200 calories (which is a big no no) for 11 days. So when I finally started eating normal again, my body probably stored everything as fat in fear that I would be starving it again in the near future. I feel so depressed, like I put myself through hell for nothing. And then I feel awful, like I can't do this anymore. I can't keep getting myself all excited one day and super depressed the next. It's just too much emotionally. Sorry that you asked a simple question and it turned into a novel. I am really bummed out about this. I am too embarrassed to talk to people about it. So it was nice to get this off my chest. I may bring this up in the chat forum and see if anyone else has experienced this after a cleansing diet. I am going to weigh myself again tomorrow to see if this morning's weigh in is accurate.
Last weigh in: 163
This week: 162.5
Down a half pound. I have been working out more but not eating as well as I should be. Hope everyone is doing well and that you haven't given up. Losing weight is super hard, like I hate it. But it will be so worth it once we reach our goals.
Heyyy, I fit the criteria! I'd love to join a group with people in a similar scenario - I haven't found very many groups fit to me like this one. It looks like not many people are checking in, but I'd like to help revive the group :)
Name: Jenna
Height/weight: 5'11", 250-something lbs (haven't done my first weigh in yet, wanted to get a good week under my belt first)
Goal: 160lbs to start.
Age: 20
Location: Northern California
Biggest Motivation: I have a very low, nearly self-destructive opinion of myself, and I want to be able to treat myself and everyone in my life well. I want to look hot in a bikini, too, to be quite honest :)
I know the weigh-ins are on Tuesday, but I don't have anything to report. I'll be checking in - good luck!
Name: Amy
Height/Weight: 5'7, 155 lbs (Down from 200lbs)
Goal: 130 lbs
Age: 21
Location: Tucson, AZ
Biggest Motivation: The amazing high I get when I accomplish new physical things. I am so proud of the things my body can do and I love finding new things to try.
I hope this group stays up!
