Under 150 --- positive people to work with me on this goal!
I have been within a few pounds of my goal of 150 for MONTHS -- far too long really. Like it's getting ridiculous.... I saw as low as 152 for a few weeks, then I did what I always do, start slacking because "I am so close, I can taste it" and backslide a few lbs. Start over. ( :
NO MORE, I say. I have it all figured out. (well except how to stop drinking so much and how not to be so dang lonely.........). But the lifestyle thing I have down pat. I workout every day (run with my dog and ride a bike). I eat good food and the right amount of it ---- 1500-1700. Drink lots of water, get my fiber, try and get enough sleep (this one is hard).
Looking for some girls who are cool who are pretty with it on the fitness path and in the same range as me..... close to 150, wanna be under 150 and BEYOND.

I love running, lynn -- just get SO BORED on a treadmill. course, if I had one, I would not complain and I would use it, so... hypocrite (sorry -- lol)
I run on the school's track on parent-teacher conference nights. Last school year, I know that both nights I walked one lap,. ran one lap, 2 miles in the 30 ish minutes between school ending and PTC starting. this year, both nights, I RAN all the laps and did 3 miles!!! I was stoked. hope your PTC go well, Diann

I jogged this morning and I am getting ready to walk out the door and get my walk on with my doggie again for the second day in a row -- go me!
got 100 oz of water at work -- more now, doing well on cals for the week.... hoping to see even a small drop tomorrow as TTOM should be over.... if not tomorrow, then the weekend for sure!!!!!

Well today 144 hit was gone.. Like a flash. I don't know what happen to me.. I woke you got dressed for the freaking gym.. And got my measurements in.. Good I must say.. Stepped on the freaking scale. HELLO 147.8 what the hell. Got home.. Looked over my CC logs, and said. OH.. NO MORE CHEESE! No more dammit.. Didn't have any cheese at all today. Ate clean as if I was Oprah getting back on track. Did another workout around noon. A brisk walk with my girl friend. Not noon just yet, but breaking noon was coming up in 30 mins.. Got there to the track, and did 2 miles.. Pushing hard and working on my legs to the fullest. Now, I'm going to go hit the elliptical tonight before I hit the shower and sheets. Did a good workout program at the gym. We only focus on a quick 30 min workout, because I got paged to come to work. Client sick as a dog, and couldn't keep meds down. She tried to take them twice, and nothing was helping her at all. Got her meds in with a tea spoon of peanut butter to coat them. Stayed with her for an hour to make sure they didn't come up. She got new meds, and they are hard on her tummy. She's going to have to go back to her old brand.
My day was crazy.

sorry about the scale, but take new measurments or like you said no cheese. =P OR do like I do and do fat free cheese but melt it (close to the real thing) or string cheese, which I love love love. 60 cals and protein and calcium. almost perfect. fun to eat too, takes a little while if you let it.

Yeah! It was a crazy day of running. I feel I've burned more than what I think I've burned, but want know until the morning. Haven't made it to 3rd workout yet. Thinking I just might past this one up. I'm in and out of houses most of the time, and some of the places I go have stairs and I take them ( always). Hubby hates that if we are together. I even do the stairs at the mall. No free ride I tell him and my kids. Anyone who is with me. Even my mom. My dad got me taking stairs when we would go to his doctor appointments. Telling me.. Free rides. No go.. You have a car, you ride in it all day long. Walk some, so since my uncle is a half a mile down. I'm going to start walking to see him a few times a day. Not on cold cold days, but nice pretty ones.
When you see the op to do some type of fitness.. TAKE IT.

I did not give into the chocolate the other day, but today is a totally different story! Not doing so great at the moment! I woke up starving and it's coming up on TTOM to boot! I started the day with a healthy bowl of oatmeal and planned to follow it with some eggbeaters. Instead had breakfast with my girls and wolfed down 3 chocolate chip waffles and a bowl of reese's puffs cereal! SUGAR, SUGAR, SUGAR! It's not even 11:30 and I've already eaten 600 calories of complete garbage. That being said, the day is young and I can still wrangle myself in and end the day on track.
I just feel so blah, I've been sick for 3 weeks, went 2 entire weeks without exercising at all because of bronchitis, and I've only exercised twice this week. You ladies are all so inspiring, looks like everyone is doing so great! Lynn you are a workout queen! How many hours a day do you exercise? I need to find that motivation! I lost it along with my willpower while I was sick. Hopefully I'll get back on track soon.....
it;s hard sometimes, toch -- espeically with TTOM.... I am having a hard time ignoring the Tootsie rolls in my classroom lately... for some reason? you can do it --- be strong. drinks lots of water and have a HUGE salad -- fill up the hunger... I find exercise helps me a lot during TTOM too...
Lynn kils me -- I work out 30-40 min a day before work ever y day but WOO -- not a stud like her!! =P
Janay and Toch, if I have free time on my hands I'm going to do something. I just can't sit down and do nothing. I'm not making time. I'm just making up my mind looking at my hours in my day, and getting up and going.
Workout today.. A killer.. WEIGHT TRAINING..

Another workout.. Belly to full to handle one.. I don't care to puke my food up.
Like I said before. I'm in and out of houses all day everyday. I take break here and there.. You can do that when you are in charge.. But! It's hard not to do something physcial with my line of work. I'm lifting old people.. Cleaning (S), making sure they are feed sometimes, and watching them at night..

You get all your schooling over with.
Maybe Marry, and have some children of your own.
Then you get old old old.
May or may not go to a nursing home.
And then here comes people like me..
WHO takes care of a 68-99 year old elderly person, who has went back into baby stage.. Sad way to put it, but that's how it goes down for most of us. We do. Point A-C, and go back to A.. Being taking care of. That's why our health and training is so important. SO you can live a nice long like with out all the fuss.. Nurses in and out of your home.. Or you being tossed into an old folks home. SO that where the Metabolism comes from.. If you would have told me this 4 years ago.... I would have said. F you i'm not doing that type of work again.. Well, here I am.. I have to do it. SOmeone has to love the elderly and take care of them too.. Why can't I help out. We have to do what's best for our health to make sure we don't go back to stage one.. Being taking care of.
I try to be that way, lynn. I am my own worst enemy in that area sometimes.... but I am working on that this year. You inspire me! ( :
Ok, I will probably jinx myself, but after my workout this morning, I saw 151.4, 150.4, anbd 150.6, so averaged together, I am still happy. I am not going to officially record it or celebrate as what usually happens when I get a drop finally is that it rebounds and bounces on me for a few days before settling for real. I AM STILL HAPPY!!!!!
I am proud I got out and wogged this morning. It is 16 degrees and the wind is F-ING FREEZING. for real. with 2 pants, 2 shirts, hoodie up, gloves on, still FREEZING..... DId the long route I usually jog, but it was so cold and made me so numb and clumsy, I had to walk most of it just so I wouldn;t fall over.

I worked my butt off all evening on my friends' kitchen remodel and then we had Pizza Hut for dinner = I am right back where I was 154ish.... *eye roll*

I was at 149.4, but to tell you the truth I don't trust it lol. I know I didn't drink my water yesterday. This weekend was so difficult for me to CC. I had about 500 calories saturday day, and that evening I went to Olive Garden so I'm hoping I didn't eat more than 1200 in one sitting ( I did have a dessert though) Sunday rolled around and I didn the same thing almost, I had oatmel 120 cal, protein shake 200 cals, a fun size snicker and a funsize skittle. <-- Not too bad right , then I had a chocalte dipped Godive chocolate strawberry ONLY ONE. But then Dinner time rolled around at my mom's house I had left overs, turkey, green bean casserole, greens, macaroni and cheese, and a slice sweet potatoe pie <-- hope that meal wasn't more than a 1000 calories.
Today is workout day for me I'm doing The New rules of lifting for Women (NROLFW) Workout B and it has lunges and they killed me last time.
Ama, I must have missed it too... We just chatting around.. No harm in it..
I woke up to 147.4, and what I don't understand for the life of me. Same thing with Janay. I get to a good number.. Like 144, and dammit.. Here I am.. Never get to wear it for a week. One maybe two days tops.. And here I am.. Back to this damn 147-148-149- and OMG 152.. Yep! I seen that number after New Years. What a battle to lose that was.. But now I can't get back to 144. Sometimes we have to pick our battles..
Hey Ama.. How tall are you? I'm a shorty.. 5 even, and I know Jan is tall, but I was wondering about you. And any one else who is taller than me. People say(some).. I shouldn't lift weights. I already have the strenght of 2 bulls.... DAD said that. I workout hard, and I do have a protein shake, muscle milk from time to time to support my muscles, but dammit.. Why shorties can't lift? Is the world going to come to an end.. I'm stocky already, but come on.. Can a shorty have a break. My trainer calls me short fry.. Not funny, but I just laugh.. I can pick her up, and she said.. OH No shorty has every done that.. I got a few choice names I can would love to call her..
Anyway.. I'm not sure when she is going to give us a weigh n day.

I like the work out, it almost killed me the first 2 times but I'm handling it well I didn't limp out the gym yesterday so I'd say I'm improving. You work on pretty much your whole body in the workouts, back, arms, quads, glutes etc
That's cool. My Biceps are killing me right now.. I've been pushing some heavy weight here lately. Upping my program with more weights. Bench Press 160 2 days in a roll, and now it's time to take a break from my arms, and work the lower body a little, then rest. Cardio is a killer, and I just started the 20 mins HIIT Program at the gym, and came home last night and bench pressed some iron... 160 hubby loaded up, and spotted me.. Dad said.. BOY! You better stop helping your woman get strong enough to kick your A. Don't make me say I told you so when she does it. It was so funny. My mom broke sweat on the elliptical again, and I was all about weights, and working on my arms, and a few crunches on the ab machine... Woo! I'm feeling it.
You might as well say you are 5'6", because I up for 5 foot even. I'm a hair away from the 5. LOL! People say to me.. You missed being a little person by () much. JA's really piss me off.. But I do hit hard.. That's what I like about me... We little toughies hit pretty damn hard.. I must say.. I love it..
Hey! Keep track of your measurements, and what are you drinking to feed your mucles. You are having a post protein shake before you workout and after right. If not. You need to talk to your trainer and see what you need to be doing to feed those muscles.. You are breaking them down, and the need protein, and much need rest like 48 to 72 hours at time to repair themselves.
I workout 2 days and rest 2 days that area, and train a different area for 2 days. I can work out with weights 4 days out of the week.. SO it's more of a.. Mon, Tue Upper, and Wed, Thu Lower, and friday off or some light cardio in there, but that HIIT is a killer too. Keep on working.

I've also been thinking about trying the NROLFW (?), I've heard a lot of good things about it and the results it brings.
I'm finally back on track. I was sick for a couple of weeks and trying to get back into the groove last week was hard, I only worked out 3x. I was still semi-sick on top of being totally bloated and pms-ing and a miserable BI***! I ended the day in tears on Friday from frustration and was so down on myself. Before the holidays I was 154-155 and now I'm right back up to 158, very frustrating! But, I'm ready to get back in action and have adjusted my diet, no more white flour or sugary junk food...no junk food at all for that matter! I'm aiming to have all of my calories come from nutritious foods (with one splurge day a week after I get back down to 154). Wish me luck!
I do have a question and you might laugh at me for it but...I read a post yesterday about needing to eat the calories you burn during exercise so you maintain the 500 calorie deficit and don't go beyond it. Do you guys do that? I hadn't been doing that and hit a major plateau before the holidays, even though I was running and/or lifting 5+ days a week. I wonder if not adding those extra calories contributed to the plateau?

Weight Training for me last for an hour.. Cardio I push for an hour and 15 mins.. Do both at the same time.. People say. You don't do cardio first. So, sometimes..... If I'm not working my lower body. I go and do some running or get on the stair climb at the gym and hit 30 mins, then do a low cool down spin on a the station spin bike... I hate the damn seat. I fold a towel and put on it, and I'm good to go, but you can order a seat cover that is bigger than the spin bike seat. I have a gym bag full of much needed goodies.
I have 3 towels.
2 water bottles.
1 Ready for a protein shake, and the other just water.
Sweat bands 4. I use all 4 to keep the sweat out of my face, and some risk bands I use 4 too.. It helps keeps the sweat away from my hands. I use my workout gloves from time to time. SO I can get a good grip on the weight bar.. That powder stuff. Makes my hands dry, so I don't care of it. I have a skin disorder. I have to be careful.. Facial wipes for after my workout, so I can clean my face. Don't want to walk out with a salt layer face. hehe.. Good trick there, and chap stick. Ipod, and I must remind myself. Not to sing out loud.. I did that a few times in the gym. A cash band pocket that goes around my bust line to protect my money. Incase I need money for the juice bar.
Workout heavy 4 days a week. Sometimes I do go light. Sometimes...
I even do double workouts.. Total hours sometimes during a day. 2 to 3 once I add them all up. Killing myself, and sometimes.. Not getting any weight loss results, but I do get inches.
