Underarm jiggle
If this is the wrong place for this post, please feel free to move it. :)
I know that you can't "spod reduce" persay, but is there ANYTHING I can do to reduce my underarm fat? I'm really self-consious about it, and I can feel the muscle developing under all that since I've been doing New Rules of Lifting. Any advice is appreciated!
I think having a nice shapely shoulder above helps tame the look of a meatier upper arm. So keep working those upper arms and shoulders, and as the weight comes off your arms will be in awesome shape!
maybe those skin firming lotions? I haven't used them myself, but maybe someone else has? anyone with experience with them out there?
Fat anywhere on your body will only move with the correct diet. Eat clean & keep lifting and you will start to see your muscle as you shed the extra fat.
If there's no muscle underneath the fat, your arms will jiggle more. Try some triceps[i'm sure that's the right one] exercises, and the jiggle should be lessened.
If she didn't already have muscles there, she wouldn't be able to move her arms! ![]()
Definitely keep up what you're doing, and pay close attention to your nutrition. The fat leaves your body wherever it wants to (for me, it was my under arm jiggle, and back fat, both of which, I had very little, which made my stomach appear bigger :( ).

I'm trying out a new product from AVON (on my arms, thighs and butt). I'll try to remember to tell you if it works. (If peeps keep this thread going, it will remind me. ;-)

Hahahahaha!!! LOL!!! That answer made me think of Popeye's girlfriend, Olive Oyl.
Seriously, have you tried tricep curls, tricep kickbacks, overhead extensions, rope pull-downs, and triangle push-ups (which target the triceps more).
The bench press will also hit the triceps, as will the shoulder press so these should definitely be included as well.
I don't know if we are allowed to post links here, but you can look up these exercises to see how they are done--it you go to a gym, you can also ask there.
:)
I was just thinking about this... I recently heard those jiggly underarms called "teachers' wings." ![]()
Really, the fat will come off in whatever order it comes off (usually in "last gained, first lost" order for me).
FWIW, I'm doing NROLFW right now, and it says that isolation exercises aren't much use for this kind of goal--it suggests using these muscles as they funciton in real life, which is as part of a set of muscles. So big pushing and pulling and balancing movements that use muscle groups end up getting everything you need to get, as long as you're not training for bodybuilding competitions where you need all those little muscles to be popping out individually.

LOL...I call them "Nana bags".
Clean diet and continue with your NROL. The fat will reduce in time.
Keep it up! :-)
Can you tell me what is New Rules of Lifting ?? I am in canada and I have never heard of that. By the way I have "teachers wings" or what ever you want to call them....:( and i don't like them either
NROL is a book (available on Amazon, etc). They came out with a second, NROL for Women, but I'd say both books have routines appropriate for both genders.
is this an exercise book?? and if so is it just for the arms??
a strength training exercise for this includes using dumbbells by raising your arms above your head then letting the arms fall 45-90ºbackwards. also try the triceps kickbacks and triceps extension exercises.

No, it's full body - since you can't spot burn, a routine that's just for the arms won't be as effective at burning body fat as a full body routine that hits the major muscle groups.
And it's more than just "an exercise book" - it has a lot of information about lifting, plus nutritional info.

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
