Unmotivated Continued, But not as bad!

Quote  |  Reply

Im not depressed, actually, Im happier than I have ever been. I have a great child. I will be married in a few months. Ive been off of my anti anxiety meds for about a year and a half.

My doctor has put me on a diet pill....I get hyper as hell....and I clean. But I dont get that "get some fresh air" feeling anymore...even though the weather is cooling off. I don't want to go outside. I don't have a car at the moment. I am a stay at home mom, and the bf works all the time. When we go out, it is mostly so that he is not only at home or work, and to get me outta the house.

So...I really believe that one of my problems is the fact that I dont have any friends...everyone that was my friend before my son came along, only calls me when they are having boy trouble. I have tried the meetup.com thing, and they always do stuff that requires money. That is something I dont have, and am not willing to ask for unless its necessary. Is there a website for broke mom's? lol

I know not having a job is also very unmotivational...if thats even a word. I have been out of work since June, and its driving me and Loaffy, my hunny, crazy. We don't fight about it, but we really don't get to do much, because he's having to pick up my slack.

All that being said....is anyone in Panama City, FL reading this????

Thanks for all of the replies! Hope to hear more soon!

Hello Sara,

It's nice to meet you.  I'm in Texas, so no help there.  You are lucky to have your fella.  There are some out there with no one.  However, I understand about the need for having a gal pal to chum around with.

It isn't easy to meet people when you have a baby, but here is an idea.  Have you thought about putting the baby in a Mother's Day Out program or half day day care?  You could meet other women with babies and perhaps make a friend.

Don't know how you feel about it, but church is another (zero cost) option.  You meet folks with babies in the nursery and can perhaps make a friend.  There are so many people out there without friends who would like to also have someone besides their children to talk to.

I wish you luck.
