Unos Pizza! Advice PLEASE

Quote  |  Reply
So I am going to dinner with some friends tonight to Uno's Pizza Grill (I eat out too much, i know)

I really want to keep to my diet so I was thinking of getting.. the french onion soup...some stats below

Serving Size(g) 245g Servings 1.5 Calories 190 Calories from Fat 70

and

the house salad w/chicken (i will ask for oil and vinegar on the side, but I only use vinegar) AND NO CHEESE :(

Serving Size(g) 218g Servings 2 Calories 130 Calories from Fat 25

thats ends up being around 545 calories because according to their website (where i got this info) they give you OVER one serving.

They actually have a whole section for food "under 500 cals" but then next to servings it will say "2" or "3" which then makes the whole meal OVER 500 cals.  TRICKY TRICKY!

Does this sound like an ok meal to everyone? I would love to get some of the other things listed at under 500 cals, but I know I won't stop at half...or worse...a third of the meal and I don't want to risk my own inability to have self control!  I always worry about places like this because I don't trust the posted nutrional values even though I know I should.

Sounds good. Whatever you do, don't eat the deep dish pizza.

An individual cheese deep dish pie has 2,300 calories.

alisha1183 - I go to Uno's and I order the chicken lettuce wraps.  Grilled chicken with little sides of shredded carrot, vermicelli noodles, cucumbers, and peppers.  I like this because you can control the amount of the sauce that you eat.   You eat the chicken wrapped in a leaf of boston bib (butter) lettuce.

250 calories for all - but you can definitely cut it back by reducing the amount of sauce that you eat.  You can read the details on this dish at the Uno's website.  It is listed under "big greens" part of menu.
