Unsure what to count this exercise as...
A few days I ran into the "New Year, New You!" program through exercise tv and signed up and every day I do a new and different 30 minute mini workout sort of thing. Some of them are more physically demanding, for example todays so far I got through 7 minutes before realizing I'd have to stretch more and take my dog for a walk before finishing it.
Some days seem kinda intensive cardio and it doesn't take me long to be breathing kinda hard.. other days its more muscle work on certain parts of your body.
I've never done anything like this before, and I'm honestly not sure what to equate it to so I simply haven't been inputting anything for it on CC. For the more video workout in tune, what are a few good exercises on CC that I can count it as? For today I think interval walking/running would probably equate, but I'm completely lost for those other days where my heart isn't pounding so much and it takes a while for me to feel the burn.
Thanks for any and all imput!
Could be calisthenics or light to moderate weight lifting...
Hah I didn't even know what calisthenics were until I looked it up. And yeah it definately integrates stuff like weir push ups and squat things. Jumping jack stuff sort of. Some of the things as for some weights but I don't have any yet so I just do it without them for now.
Thank you so much! I guess I'll just count its as that maybe minus a few minutes because I know right now my form needs a lot of work. I spend most of the time just flailing around trying to keep up! =D
I used cans of beans then detergent bottles filled with water until I finally bought some weights... and then moved up to actually going to a gym.
Oh thats a good idea. I'm running into this problem because my gym membership recently expired and I currently can't afford to continue it. That and I'd much rather go walking with my dog (I'd love to go running with him but I can see that ending in disaster).
I'll probably just get some generic 5lb or so weights in the next week or two. Nothing too intense. Right now my focus is getting back in shape and clearing out my lungs (light and social smoking finally have a reason to bother me. exercise).
Thanks for the good ideas! We have a lot of sand. Maybe I could fill up some water bottles with that?
Is that excersice TV on Dish on Demand with Dish network? I have dish network and I always see these commercials for "excercise TV, Free, on dish on demand".......yet when I go into dish on demand I never find it! And I always wanted to check it out.....
I don't have satellite or cable, but I know its supposed to be free to all cable providers, so i'd guess its the same for dish. If you don't have it I bet if you call and request it they'll give it to you free of charge. Maybe by on demand they mean if you demand it they'll give it to you? haha!
I know I've been making use of their website, which has been really great.
