Do you untie your athletic shoes?

Quote  |  Reply

When you take them off?  Or do you do what I do, and pop 'em off with a toe?

And then, do you stuff your feet back in them without ever untying them?  I can't do that - they have to be tied just right.

I know - weird question to ask, but I've truly been wondering.

I slip them off without untying them, but to put them back on, I unlace - otherwise I end up bending the back of the shoe into the shoe, and then it rubs against my ankle and hurts.

I'm with amethystgirl, I pop em off, and then undo them to put them on again... But I give my kids heck for doing the same thing ;o) LOL

I pop off when I'm done, then unlace them and put them back on later.

Sounds familiar.  :P

I have to untie, because I always tie a double knot in.  One of my quirks that I hate having the laces come untied when I'm working out.

See, my hubby pops his off, then pops them back on without untying.  For some reason, it bothers me just a little.  I guess it's because I see the backs of his shoes get all broken down from it.

I can't do it.  It bunches my socks funny, the tongue is never straight, and it just isn't laced right.  Not to mention that I usually lace them tight enough that it is really difficult to get my foot in without untying.  When I was pregnant and couldn't reach, I'd have my hubby help, and he'd always try to just shove the shoe back on without untying.  I had to TRAIN the man!

At least he doesn't wear them on his hands and try hand-walking down flights of stairs.  :O

I used to do this but then read somewhere that it ruins your shoes.  All that extra stress can mess up the support.  I have picky feet and buy somewhat expensive running shoes, so want to keep them in as best of shape as possible.

It hurt when I snorted the oatmeal cookie I was eating when I read that.  Meanie.

if you snort it does it count as calories or does it just go directly into your bloodstream, by passing all the nasty digestion?

I think it probably goes directly to my sinuses and waits for the snot to cover it up and become infected.  Therefore - CALORIE FREE COOKIE!!!

I have Sketchers that don't have laces!  ;)

I use to pop the off and on but it stretches them out, and since my run shoes were a little pricey I am careful t to untie them to tak ethem off, but I still catch my self popping htem off every now and them

I push them off with my toe.  But have to untie them to put them back on.

I bought Sketchers when I had shoulder surgery, because I knew I would not be able to tie them myself.  It was nice, but honestly they never felt quite right.  Too loose.

I never untie, they are double knotted.  I just slip em on and off.  Drives DH crazy.

Tying laces is for chumps.

Double knotted here too.  They slide on and off with ease.

Been popping them on and off for years.

I don't think I have tied my sneakers since I got them last X-Mas!

Pop em off and then untie and re-lace when putting back on.

Side note ~ boy does it feel great to pop them off my dogs when I get done.
