Unwelcome Comments

My fiance came home from work and told me that a co-worker we bumped into in the street yesterday has commented to everyone in his workplace that I am fat.

I am 5'3.5 and 139lbs.

I just lost 10lbs recently.

I'm trying not to let it upset me, easier said than done.

The guy in question has hideous buck teeth, so I told my fiance to tell him that he could eat an apple through a letterbox.

It made me feel better ;D

First let me say that you are in now way, shape or form fat!!!  I think you look awesome and have an incredible style about you!  I love it!  (and am a little jealous because I don't think I could pull it off even though I'd love to)  :]

I do love your comment about the letterbox though. That was classic.  That man must be jealous that his co-worker has such a hot women on his side.  Sounds kind of like with females when they are super mean to other girls, usually in my experience it's because they are jealous.  So maybe he's just a girl trapped in a buck toothed man's body. LOL!!

The 'coworker' is a MORON... looking at your picture, you are a perfectly normal (very attractive) healthy young woman. He's probably just jealous and you shouldn't pay any attention to what he says (why did your fiance tell you anyway? And why the heck does it matter what some random stranger thinks of you anyway??? It doesn't change who you are or what you know about yourself. You need to feel good about yourself for who and what you are, not what some ignorant passerby happens to say.)

I am 5'4 and 143 lbs. We are not even close to fat.

Try not to let stupid people get you down too much. There are always people who will talk and sadly most of them say stupid hurtful things. For some reason this happens. (And when you lose more weight... he will still have the buck teeth!)

Congrats on the 10lbs weight loss!

haha lmao! (to the apple comment)

Congrats on your weight loss! and just ignore him... he knows not what he's talking about... probably gets some sort of signal thru his teeth that is distorting his brain.

hehehe an apple through a letterbox! that's great!

i've gotta know...why would your finance tell you someone said something like that?

you're hot, that guy is obviously an idiot!

are you serious! that co-worker is wrong, you are NOT fat. keep your head up girl. :)

Well, I weigh about 110 pounds more than you.  Maybe I should come sit on him and show him what fat really is!

My fiance told me because everyone in work seems to be having real problems with this guy (another chef told him what the bucktoothed  guy had said and suggested he should get a punch)....

He comes home nearly everyday and tells me another ridiculous thing that Bucktooth has done, last week he stole £20 from my fiance's tips and 2 months ago the head chefs wallet went missing (he was especially annoyed as it had pics of his recently deceased mother in it that must have been emptied of cash and thrown away).

Anyway, as soon as he told me, my jaw clenched and he realised what he had done.  My fiance has this total inabilty to lie or keep things from people. It's a good quality but a little annoying at times!

Fat?? Are you serious??  I would love to be your size and look the way you do!  The guy obviously has no idea what he's talking about so don't let it bother you.  If you ever bump into him again just start calling him Roger Rabbit and give him a carrot, the guy is aparently an idiot so he'll have no idea what you're talking about.

The co-worker thing... well yeah... whatever, but why would your fiance tell you he said that? Bizarre.

Oh, and of course, as you know, you are not fat.

When I  was thin I got remarks that my butt was too big and I really didn't look healthy.

The world is full of idiots and you just met one!

You're gorgeous. Ignore that a-hole

I would scream with joy if I were as "fat" as you someday!!  Laughing

That guy will get his someday. Hopefully he'll get caught stealing so your fiancé's work place can press charges. I can't believe what a jerk that man is (the bucktoothed one, not the fiancé).

yeah, he's a jerk alright. The stories my fiance comes home to tell me get worse and worse. I think he blurted out the comment that his co-worker had made and not realised. A case of the mouth opening before the brain engages haha

everyone knows that he stole the cash, but as it cant be proven I think they have to wait til he slips up and they get him red handed.
thanks for all your comments! I feel a lot better!

Ugh that sucks. As everyone already said, you are in NO WAY fat!

As for that loser, whatever. It would have hurt my feelings too and that's not very easy. Let me guess, he doesn't have a girlfried? HMMM? Could that be why he's trying to tear down his co-worker's awesome girlfriend?

The guy is a total loser! So why are you giving any credence to his comment? Your fiance probably told you as yet another example of what an idiot the guy is and what they all have to put up with every day. Don't let it upset you!

Personally, I think you're absolutely hideous! I think you should either invest in a first rate 3-ply bag for your head (in fact, get two just in case one falls off), or just stop going out into public altogether! Wink

Don't listen to him. Even if it were true (which it's not), it would be inconceivably insensitive to point it out to others and to talk about it behind your back.

Please don't take offense, but personally, I think it was a little insensitive of your finance to tell you about it. My wife is an extremely sensitive person, and there's no way I would relay a comment like that on to her. If anything, I would approach the person and express to him or her my "disapproval" concerning their comments. Wasn't that a nice way of putting it?

My husband wouldn't have told me someone said that because he doesn't need me showing up at his work and beating the hell out of his coworker. Luckily the only person scarier than me is my husband so no one would say that to him, anyway!

HA!  That's funny even if I'm not sure what it means!

I have someone in my life who regularly lets me know that I am eating too much or gaining weight.  I'm 5'1", 122 lbs. I was just telling him off actually and laughed when I read your post.

Bucktooth--you're a dope!
