What is up with all the Healthe' Trim commercials?
I think summertime tends to bring out more diet fads than any other time of year. Everyone wants to look good in their shorts and bathing suits. For some reason I cannot escape the Healthy Trim commercials, they are on the radio constantly. They are driving me crazy!
They are supposedly "the most powerful weight loss product" and you can get "high school skinny" (what?).
I don't want to use diet pills, fad diets and nor do I condone their use, but it is hard to ignore the temptation when you have "testimonials" of people saying how they lost 30 lbs in 30 days or some such craziness.
If these things worked, then no one would have a weight problem.
Feel free to weigh in (no pun intended) on your opinion. I have to turn off my radio, I can't take it anymore!!!
I just think of all the suckers out there and I wish I had though of some of these ideas, so I could get in on this obvious cash cow! ![]()
Money that is the bottom line. When I found this site I loved it because it works on only one thing.
- You eat less than 3500 calories you loose 1LB a week.
- You eat more than 3500 calories you gain 1LB a week.
That with all the great advise, tools, and forums for support it can not be easier.
Everybody else is a gimmick.
I haven't heard those (I pretty much only listen to NPR on the radio), but on TV... the Nutrisystem ads?
One where the woman's before picture is her in a potato sack of a dress - of course you look better now! And then she says "I'm not like other girls - I love football" <awkwardly catches football> "How many girls can do that?" ugh. And what does that have to do with weight loss?
And I think it's Bowflex that has the guy wearing sunglasses while he works out - "I gave all my fat clothes to my fat friends" and "Now my wife gives me a little wink" - congrats man - your wife wants to sleep with you. So obnoxious.
As for before/after shots on tv and in magazines, check this out. Both pictures taken the same day.
And whatever you do, don't smile in the "before" ad.
I know a lot of girls that like football. I even like it a little bit. :)
Healthe' Trim has something going on with the radio stations because every station personality here locally is on it (or says they are) and they all do the commercials, say they lost 20 lbs in 5 days, and even have a link to buy it on their website. When I Googled it, I got a hit on a radio station that was advertising it and had testimonials by their DJs too.
I know I feel like these diet/weight loss fad ads have doubled!! ![]()
All I can say is tyhanks G-d I (and hopefully all the people who use this site) know better!!
Im a software engineer at a call center and it seems like all of my coworkers are on the HCG diet plan. They have all lost a ton of weight.
I don't know much about the HCG diet plan but Im assuming at some point you will stop taking shots. Once that happens I believe that most of my coworkers will gain all the weight back. They didn't fix the root of the problem they just hid it.
Plus I have to admit that some of the ads on this site are annoying.
Congrats to all you for doing it the right way!
Yes!, these commercials drove me crazy too. Then I started googling the web to try and find blogs on people who have tried it. I was convinced enough to pay the $54.95 plus $7.95 shipping for a 30 supply. I have been taking for 2 weeks and so far I really like them. They actually do work to curb cravings and I do feel full faster when eating. I still need to be aware of mindless eating and tell my self when to stop even though I am no longer hungry. What is nice is that the pills give me just enough of a boost to want to exercise at the end of a long day. All in all I am happy with them to date. I am mixing the Healthe Trim with a sort of Slimfast like liquid diet which consists of 2 Spirutein shakes (1 breakfast, 1 lunch), snacks of fruit/veggies and an early lite dinner before 5pm. I average about 1300 to 1400 calories a day. I am losing weight slowly but I am seeing changes in my body. I feel a little more in control of what I eat and have less cravings with the diet pills. It was just the boost I needed to get me off my lazy butt. I dont think that these are "magic" pills by any means but like any other diet pill you need to use them with a diet plan.
