Up in calories, not in weight.

I have a difficult time eating my recommended calorie intake, which is around 1,450 (based on this websites 'tools').

I've been trying hard lately to make it close to that, however, I want to maintain my weight...

Will hitting my right calorie target make me gain weight; since I normally don't hit it, or will it help me maintain?

1450 would normally be a deficit for 99% of people. Your worried your going to gain weight.........there may be more to your question than meets the eye. How much do you weight and do you exercise?

Your age?  Height?  Weight?  Activity level?  Sex?  Foods you eat?  All of these are factors in terms of the amount of calories one needs for normal health.  neandethin is absolutely correct about 1450 being a deficit.  Generally, adult women should not drop below the 1500 calorie range and adult men should not drop below the 1800 calorie when going on a weight loss program.  And those amounts do not apply to teenagers.  Sure, a person can lose weight faster by doing "starvation" dieiting, but that is never healthy.  By the way, if you are having trouble consuming 1450 calories, I am wondering if you have forced your body into calorie shut down mode.  Just three 500 calorie meals a day would be more than 1450.  I would use some Search Engines such as Google, Bing, and Yahoo and type in things like "how many calories does a person need" and "how many calories are needed to maintain a certain weight," "how do people avoid unhealthy dieting," etc., etc.

WOW! 1450 to mantain?! If I ate that to mantain the only thing I could do exercise related would be resting!!!!

Are you sure that's what you need?

OMG ! 1450 ?

It depends on metabolism; many factors are involved such as height, weight, amount of exercise and genetics.
