i dont know whats up with me.

this past Wednesday i overate.  i wasn't hungry i just kept eating, eating and eating.  then on Thursday same thing occurred.  i just kept eating.  i blasted my recommend cal intake for both days which is about 1550 cals.

then today at lunch i got chips even though i wasn't hungry for them.  all i want to do is eat no matter if im hungry or not.  it feels as though my body is lashing out at me for some reason.  its almost like its thinking that im starving it and it wants to consume as many cals as possible.  the only thing that i have limited myself to since april are doughnuts, candy bars, cookies, chips and instead of drinking regular coke i drink diet.  now its like all i want to do is eat! 

whats wrong with me?  this never happened to me before?  how do i get rid of it?  then i feel horrible when i go over my cal intake for the day and say screw it and eat more.

ive lost 20 pounds so far and now im concerned that i will gain it all back in a hurry!

help!!!

It seems as though to me you are eating simply out of boredom.  Try to keep yourself occuppied and don't allow yourself to just start grabbing foods and if you do, grab some fruits or some veggies....you can never have too much of either of those things.  Also, having the occassional bag of chips is not bad as I think you shouldn't completely cut out the things you like, but don't do this regularly and don't get the huge bag.

 

This has happened to me as well and it usually happens when I am at home and watching tv......pure boredom.  Stay productive and you won't even think to keep grabbing foods.

Good point kabarnes, It's probably either that or your stressed about something.  If you are, try to figure out what it is and do something about it.  I always went for the junk food right around finals time and and woe to anyone who got in my way. 

If you can, you might try to do something else when you get the urge to eat like jogging or even painting or drawing.  Try to get rid of your stress, or your boredom, in some other way besides eating. After all, when you over-eat and see that later, you'll just get upset and eat more.  So stop the vicious cycle early ^_~

I love both of the responses before me and it's like I'm reading about myself. I completely understand what you are talking about. I go throught the same battle everyday. I'm such a busy body that the moment I slow down I'm looking for food! and I have to either force myself to eat fruit or just stay out of the kitchen all together. I also used to give myself the excuse that oh I'm PMSing and I always eat a lot the week before my period. I have put a quick stop to that too. Good luck in your journey. 

thank you for all of your responses.  i believe that you are all right.  i was bored and looking for something to do and so i ate.  also work has been extremely stressful!

im am definetly going to keep an eye on it and when muching strikes i'll try to find something else to better my time.
