Recipe Ingredients for Upma (South Indian Style)

2 cups Semolina
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp salt
1 large onion
1 large tomato
1 tsp lentils
10 g peanuts

Recipe Directions for Upma (South Indian Style)

  1. Prepare Tadka - Heat Oil and add Mustard Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Lentils and Peanuts

  2. Mix the veggies (Onion, Tomato)

  3. Heat the mix till the veggies loose their volume

  4. Add 2 cups of water and mix salt. Bring it to boil

  5. Add Semolina slowly to the mix, continuously stirring the mix

  6. Upma is ready when all water evaporates
