From the LP, but I love the UP!! Definitely a great place to visit. Vacation cottage in Ludington then travel up to St. Ignas and further- camping. Ooh the waterfalls are beautiful.
ha! You are going to have to explain your screen name to those who aren't Michiganders, you Yooper.
I live in the LP but the closest i've gotten to the UP is Mackinac....does that count?
I think it semi-counts.

You definitely have to check out the UP. It's beautiful.
I lived there in junior high.  We were stationed at the air force base (K I Sawyer), but I think it got closed in the 90's.
hey yooper...I live in the LP, by Detroit....but just wanted to say hello :)
I grew up right on the Wisconsin/ UP border (on the WI side). I was only about 5 minutes away from Iron Mountain & Kingsford
Hello!  I live in the LP-Downriver, just south of Detroit, but will be in the UP this very weekend.  We will be camping in St. Ignas and will be visiting Mackinac Island on Sat.  I have never been there even though I am a born and raised Michigander---and yes, I do use my hand to point out where I live! Laughing
hi everyone.  lol  i use my hands to show where i live too and where people i know live in LP.  lol  too funny.

My name is because I live in the U.P.  and they call us yoopers, lol.

going2lose    I am glad to hear that you love the UP.  I am glad to hear that from a "troll"  of course you know i say that in fun, right  lol.  thanks for saying hi and stuff.  :)

markm11   have you visited your brother in escanaba before?  do you like it up here?  Isn't Gaylord further than an hour from Escanaba?

wlmich,      you have never been to mackinac Island, isn't it amazing all the places people just don't go to and it is in the area they live in?  There are alot of places I have yet to see in the UP.  You will have fun, it is so beautiful there.  Have fun this weekend.

tiffanilaguna   I remember the base, it is such a shame that they closed it down, it was sooo beautiful when you drove in there with all the flags and all the yard taken care of, now it is for low housing and the people their don't take care of anything and you have to have your yard stuff bolted down if you dont' want it to get stolen.  I remember going there with friend from school to some parties and stuff when it was the air force base.  Memories, what a grand thing.  :)

patrasha   did you go over the bridge???  If you go over the bridge, that will count.  :)

missy81   my best friend is from IM, so I know where abouts you are talking about.  It is so beautiful up here, just as I am sure it is where everyone lives, right?

Hey fishkisses    I thought only us Yoopers said the word "hey"  lol.  thanks for saying hi I must say I haven't been to detroit.  I have been to Midland, Clio, and Flushing.
A troll?
I'm a yooper!

I live in Escanaba.
going2lose, a troll is someone who lives below the bridge  lol  it is cute you must admit.  :)

welcome chadwick
Lived in Superior, WI for a couple of years.  Never made it to the UP.  Closest I got was Ashland, and why I went there I'll never know.

dnrothx    i lived in superior wisconsin for 3 months back in 1995, nice town.

markm11   i  often heard that those who live in LP call the upper half of the Lower Pen  the up,  is this true?  Just curous?

I just watched a Dirty Jobs on the Mackinac Bridge, it was interesting and I can't believe that  Mike Rowe walked all the way up to change a bulb, omg i could never.  I am big time afraid of heights.  I did learn from the show that the bridge sways 25 feet daily , 12 1/2 on each side and you dont' even feel it when going on it.  That made me even more nervous to have to cross the bridge. ugh

yes yes, I get it. I haven't heard that since I was a kid!

I'm so used to this internet lingo, I was thinking you thought I was a troll on this site. Hahaha!

I grew up in Holland. Do you know where that is? It's right on Lake Michigan.
oh yea, I have only crossed the bridge a few times. I am not afraid of heights, but I am terrified of bridges so I try to avoid them. Last time I was so scared I drove onto the side and my tires went over those metal things and made this huge loud noise, which scared me even more, so I think next time I will just take the boat across. (although I get sick on those!)
