upping calories and lost 2 pounds?? happenned to anyone else?
So I have been actively upping my calorie and fat intake for the past 3 1/2 weeks (used to only eat 1000-1200 a day for several years and maintained a weight of 110 at 5'5, 32 y/o) I have successfully gotten up to at least 1700 a day, 26-30% fat, even up to 2300 on a couple of days, but here's the oddity: I weighed myself this morning and am down 2 lbs, 108! So is this a sign my metabolism is speeding back up b/c it's happy it's being fed better??
My bloated belly is about GONE, but my fingers are still a little swollen. But I can't believe it, no MORE BIG BELLY!!! I am keeping with adding more calories, every day. I have been eating every 2 hours, and not letting myself get really hungry or really full, although I amd DEFINITELY hungry when I get up (never had that when I was really underfed. NEVER felt hungry)
Similar experiences? I am not happy about weight going down at all, as my ultimate goal is a healthy body for getting pregnant! But I am happy that my metabolism is not totally messed up!!

i think this is your metabolismspeeding up, this is a good thing it tells you your body is starting to work again , and function normally ie not holding fluid . it also makes you realise that you can eat without gaining . hopefully this will make you feel a little better about moving forward , i know the fear of lots of us we will never stop gaining . so up your calories dont be scared embrace your hunger its a good sign h xx
it's great that you're trying so hard to be healthy! the first step is to try to fix that loss, so good for you! you're metabolism is speeding up (yay!) which means that you need to keep upping your calories until you catch up. see how it goes! best of luck
