So it's my 4th week into my change of lifestyle (recovering from an eating disorder now)

I don't eat enough calories a day (500cals usually, I think i was an undiagnosed anorexic for a long time), but it's been like that for a long time; so now that i'm trying to recover from it by upping the calories little by little.

Will I gain weight if I gradually up them, and work out the same (5-6 times a week) if my schedule looks like this: Mon, Wed, Fri-biking 2 hrs, Tues - Weights (30 mins), Sat- Swimming laps (30-45 mins), sun- rest/minimal activity

I'm really scared about upping them because I lost a LOT of weight, really fast.

I'm 16, 5 foot 3, and 130 pounds. I lost 60 pounds in 7 months. That's bad, I know, But now i'm trying to make myself better by eating right, and all I can say is the past is the past.

I don't know what it is like for everyone else, but I am a recovering anorexic too and I gained the weight faster than I would have liked.  I am 22 and 5'5" and I was 90 pounds last summer and I am up to 110.  I don't know how you have the energy to workout.  I was always so lethargic, but I use my elliptical 6 days a week for 40minutes.  For me I eat about 1300 calories a day (when I don't binge), I exercise, and I still gained fast (10lbs in 4months heh I know doesn't seem fast to other people).  My doctors told me everyone is different, but that is my story.

Hey, thanks for telling me!

= )

I really appreciate hearing from someone. Although I don't like to gain weight, upping the calories is something everyone's telling me to do. So i'm trying.

thanks again

I'm the opposite! I was 5'5" and 97 lbs eating 1200 cals a day. I then upped it to about 1500-1600 and went down to about 90. So I upped it again to around 2000 and last time I checked I'm 87 lbs. SO! I need to eat like.. 2500 calories now, I guess.

Wow that's lucky!

I don't even think I can eat that much, to be honest. how do you do it??

^^;; I.. don't.  Or at least it's REALLY hard. I was eating a lot of peanut butter, but I hate the stuff now!
