The calorie count healthy b.m.i. is now ranges between 15 to 21 when last month it ranged between 20 to 24. I was so close last month and now I hardly care about what this site says. My friend, who has a B.M.I. of 17 and was told by her docter that she was to small, is now considered a perfectly healthy 13 year old acording to this site. I think this is not a healthy B.M.I. range because not only is it misleading, it also will make people like me very unhappy with their weight.
bitzy,
Are you sure you checked the box for female ?
I just went and checked mine and it recommends 18- 25.
I am currently 30. If I get to 25 I will be doing the hula !!
Go in and do it again. You may have checked the box for male.
Hey there!
So it appears that you are a teenager. B.M.I calculations [including the one on this site] are intended to be used for people 18 and over.
There a childhood/adolscent B.M.I calculator here: http://apps.nccd.cdc.gov/dnpabmi
Please don't be upset! Weight isn't something you should be angry at yourself over, that's not healthy and, in my opinion, not the right mindset for weight loss.
Good luck!
B.M.I. is B.S. I always get an overweight reading, because I am muscular. I am in no way fat. These calcuations are guidelines and not rules. Don't let them make you crazy.
Dont feel bad. This BMI reader thing called me mildy obese. Saying that I am 26.6 BMI. I am a 32 year old female 5 foot 5inches tall weigh 155 and wear a size 6. Go figure!!! So don't stress over it.
