((((TRACY))))
There are your hugs. No way you ate an extra 3500 calories and thats what one pound equals. You may see your weight bounce a bit with the extra salt but it will come down quickly. Did you have fun? Sure sounds like it. So now you have hadyour mini-vacation. Get back on the wagon and don't sweat it.
Bev
Life happens and you need to accept that. And you are not starting at day one again. You just hit a speed bump. you got over it and today you got back on track.
I was food all week until today. Eight timbits just went into my mouth via my own hand. Now I have to adjust the next two meals to compensate.
Get on that tread mill and you will feel better after.
Me, I have to go for a nice long walk with my dog. At least the dog will enjoy that.
((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))
14 lbs great!! Congrats you certainly know how to lose weight.
It is ok to have a bad day or two, just get back on the wagon, don't beat yourself up.
Take care.
(((HUGS)))
You're not going to regain 14 lbs from one bad night. You wouldn't even regain 14 lbs from a bad weekend! Extra weight doesn't appear overnight. It creeps up on you over months and even years of bad habits.
Just stick to it!
PS-don't worry Tracy-I have been having about 1 day a week like you described, and I haven't gained a pound-you will be ok and you will probably do it again and that's ok too-feasting is a part of life that we should all sometimes engage in.
Yep that is my story and I am sticking to it. Taste tester, yeah right!
Hi Tracy!
Congrats on the pounds lost!
Don't beat yourself up over on something you can not change. Besides, you had a good time right? That is all that matters. Now you just need to...Press On.
We all have our downfalls from time to time, but as we get older we learn to enjoy the downfalls we gave ourselves permission to do, and then CONTINUE ONWARD! There comes a time, when we don't beat ourselves up for past tenses, anymore. It is a waste of time and energy. We need a good time once in awhile! Guilt free.

I feel like I'm hugging myself, cuz' my name is Tracy too (same spelling). Anywho, I've been at this for 7 weeks and I've managed to lose almost 9 pounds, so you're doing great! Oh man, cajun food is one of my biggest weaknesses: po' boys, crawfish, jambalaya, and etouffed anything and that is all she wrote, I Gare-on-tee! A one-time splurge is not the end of the world. Hop back on the wagon and keep rolling, Girl.

Timbits are donut holes.
Donut holes? Like the holes from within the donuts? So, they are like nothing? I am confused
Please elaborate.
Today you are on track and moving forward.
Eating is something you manage - not conquer. It's something you do to survive and enjoy! Think of it as a sort of fashion - you wear clothes as protection from the weather, but you choose the clothes you wear for their appearance, style, fit and suitability for your personality! Well, food is the same - you need it as fuel, but you choose it for its taste, its aroma, its texture, its nutrient value, and it's enjoyment!
Try to choose the foods that best suit you, not the other way around. Consider your "splurge" foods yesterday as a a celebration of your friend. And if you think they weren't the best choices - well, then don't choose them again.
You even wrote about some of the great choices you made in a challenging spot: you chose nutrient dense foods which are flavorful and fun in a restaurant which sent powerful signals to you to eat heavy battered and fried foods. Good for you!
Instead of punishing yourself, I'd say you did just fine: you chose a menu of foods that were beneficial to you, you didn't pay as much attention to the foods during the concert, you decided that you wouldn't make those choices again, you learned something, and you moved on.
That's not starting over - that's achievement and successful food management!![]()
don't stop now....so you splurged. just go back to your clean eating. you can do this! i am so looking at the 14 you have lost. that is my mini goal. i have lost 5.5, but i want to hit the 15.

don't let this one time get you down. we all need to treat ourselves occassionally~

Like, Munchkins from Dunkin' Doughnuts. They may be small, but add up fast, I believe it is 4.5 munchkins = 1 doughnut.
Okay, I must be really overly emotional today, because some of your posts made me cry! GEEZ!!! Whats wrong with me?? You guys are so awesome and I love your support. I weighed in today with a 2 lbs loss for the week!! So I am so not upset about Sat night anymore. Besides, It was SOOO much fun!!
Thanks again guys....
Tracy
Tracy, so glad to hear that you've lost 2 more pounds!! 16 pounds - you're doing so GREAT!! Whoo-hoo!!
Just to share, I had a four day weekend in Vegas with my family last weekend - had a TOTAL BLAST - I did okay food-wise but MAN! Margaritas galore, including a few calorie-packed frozen ones! Anyway, I came home to a shocking four pound weight loss. Sometimes your body needs the break, I think.
Keep up the good work!! ![]()
One bad night isn't going to ruin your whole diet! It sounds like you're doing great, so just start back up where you left off! Everybody needs some fun and relaxation sometimes:)
Congratulations on your 14lbs lost!
You're doing awesome! I agree with what most other people have said. If you restrict yourself, you're just more likely to break the rules you set. So if you slip up every once and awhile, its not an awful thing, you're only human after all! Just set another goal and say you won't do something similar for at least 2 weeks or something. But by the sounds of it you seem to be really sticking to you plan so good job!
