I just bought one from target last night ($30) it's a watch that tracks calories burned and a miriade of other functions.  I have to set it up and try it out.

Polar F11! and love it! Heart rate and calorie tracker all in one. Wouldn't work out without it now that I have one actually. It ticks me off when I forget the strap or watch lol.

Is your watch one where you enter your age, weight, gender, height? If not your calorie burn is not going to be as accurate. If you just care about heart rate, it may be all you need.

Polar F6 and love it!!!

Agree with the need to have a chest strap and the ability to input age, weight, etc. for accurate readings.

Polar F6 also......LOVE IT!!!  This thing is awesome.  I wish I had bought one a year ago when I got serious about working out!!!!  Be careful with the less expensive watches that don't let you input all your stats.  I also agree about the chest strap.  The coded ones are better, so you don't cross talk with others wearing HRM's if you do gym classes like spinning and aerobics.  I would highly recommend the F6.  VERY worth the money.Money mouth
