what does your user name mean?

i have been on this site for around a month now, and with some snooping around i have seen so many odd user names and i wonder how people came up with them, or what they mean, or even if they mean anything. some are self explanitory, but some still have me scratching my head.

i thought i would see what kind of stories, if any, are associated with your CC user name.

the story behind coma_red_: i dye my hair every now and then. i was looking through the different colors and i picked one up that said coma red no. 1. so i bought it. silly to say that i bought something just because it had a catchy name, but i will say that i have dyed my hair this color ever since. i still like that name, so i use it here.

I love this topic! I too have wondered about people's user names.

I don't know if mine is odd but RidinWarmWinds is the idea of just going with life; particularly going with life while sitting on a tropical beach with a fruity drink watching the waves roll in.

I think coma red is a pretty catchy name lol.

Well mine is a little old haha just a nickname one of my friends created. My real name is Miren (it's basque...), it means Mary =) The "short" for it would be Mirentxu (tx sounds like ch in cheese :D)...One of my friends once said "Michentxu" which, in Spanish, would be like "My Chentxu" haha and I ended up being called like that among my friends =) Anyeays, everyone modifies it every once in a while: Chen, Chent, Chentxi (LOL), etc, etc...

Its short for the my prior online name, sunfl0wer123 which has nothing to do with the flower. 

Its my favorite color.
Well, maybe that has something to do with it since its named after the flower.

I made mine when I was really young....I used to hate mexican food and my parents had it for dinner...and I was trying to come up with an AIM screenname while they were eating so I randomly chose it.  Now I still use it because I think it's funny how people react to it...and I just can't think of a new one :]

Mine is a nickname my sister gave me when she was little, because she couldn't say Meagan.  It's carried on ever since, and now my brother also uses it (bro and sis are 23 and 19 btw lol).  Thankfully bro picked up Meima, and didn't continue with what HE used to pronounce my name as.... "wagon".

I found what I posted in that one...so here's the repeat.

I was a member of CC for awhile mostly in my skinnier weight, but I stopped coming to the site for a long time. My old name was SilentRedRose. When I went to start activating my account again from my previous 50 pound weight gain when I tried to update it, it wouldn't accept it. It didn't believe I gained so much weight in such a short amount of time. I couldn't believe it either. Lmao! So for my stats to be right I just rejoined with a new name and pretty much kept it the same and instead put "deadly" where "Red" usually was.

How I came up with SilentRedRose originally is beyond me, it had a gothic appeal to it which I'm into in an artistic sort of way. I'm actually a pretty quiet person, and my favorite flower is a red rose. So it worked. I changed it to deadly because that also had a gothic appeal to it..However, afterwards I realized honestly my name sounds like a *fart* reference. Lmao! So a silent but deadly rose smelling fart, I guess. I smirk quite often when I look at my U.N...Ha Ha.

Let's see, originally I just wanted to change my account name on the website DeviantART from something a little less childish (Vampiric-Chaos... what am I, some little Twilight retard? In my defense I was 13 when making it.)

So being the gamer I am, I thought back to my favourite games growing up. Zelda, Sonic... Pokemon (lol!)... But those were to cliche. Then I remembered Heroes of Might and Magic and my favourite castle... the Warlock. In order to recruit my favourite monsters (the red and black dragons), you needed a ****load of sulphur and I would always spend half the game hunting down more for my army. For some reason it just kind of stuck with me (Although I wanted  the spelling as 'Sulphyr' but it was taken.)

And on that note... I'm a nerd. xD

Fuma - When I first met my friend, whenever we went to her house, she'd have something called "Fuma Pies." Little pastries. Some orange, lemon, strawberry...ANYWAY, I fell in love with them and, knowing what a gluton I am, she'd bring me one in the morning sometimes. So the word brings good feelings and memories since I only eat one when I see her. :)

My current user name is "dave98z3" which is a short desriptor for me (Dave, 1998 BMW Z3).

Lorik = name of one of the first characters I made in online games

Loriklorik = because someone had already taken "Lorik" when i signed up :(

People mistake it for "Lori K" a LOT though...so without a picture, people just assume I'm female (actually, people have still made the mistake with pictures there....??? ???)

i had a similar story with a weird pronouciation for my name. my name is sara but my neighbors little brother, who was four, used to call me Gordon. it was a train in Thomas the Train. his favorite train was Gordon, i take it as a compliment.
