what does your user name mean?

i have been on this site for around a month now, and with some snooping around i have seen so many odd user names and i wonder how people came up with them, or what they mean, or even if they mean anything. some are self explanitory, but some still have me scratching my head.

i thought i would see what kind of stories, if any, are associated with your CC user name.

the story behind coma_red_: i dye my hair every now and then. i was looking through the different colors and i picked one up that said coma red no. 1. so i bought it. silly to say that i bought something just because it had a catchy name, but i will say that i have dyed my hair this color ever since. i still like that name, so i use it here.

Nasu-oni (Nasuoni) roughly translates from Janapese to mean "Eggplant Demon".

No, I'm not a demon, and no I don't LOVE eggplant (it's tasty on pizza though)..

It's just a name that one of my old boyfriends came up with, we both found it hilarious, so it stuck.

"Beaglated" is what having three beagles (Mercy, Mayhem, and Muddy Waters) can do to you: life is eat, sleep, with occassional bouts of wild play!  But mostly the first two. It's our family joke for feeling couch-potato-ey.

Peaches is a nikname from years ago.  the 0405 is my birthday.  No fun stories or anything.  Sorry. 

Mine is just because i absolutely love the rain and i was 29 went i created it. I use it for all my usernames.

Jae - It's my middle name. :3

Fuma - When I first met my friend, whenever we went to her house, she'd have something called "Fuma Pies." Little pastries. Some orange, lemon, strawberry...ANYWAY, I fell in love with them and, knowing what a gluton I am, she'd bring me one in the morning sometimes. So the word brings good feelings and memories since I only eat one when I see her. :)

I love the name "Jae."  We almost named my daughter "Jae Madeline" because I wanted to name her after my Uncle John (Madeline is after my father-in-law) and we liked J. Madeline, but then realized that people get so freaky about anything unusual like her first name being an initial, that we considered spelling it out--Jae.  Then we decided to name her Madeline with my last name as her middle name, which I thought was pretty cool. 

Sorry--this has nothing to do with the original post--you just don't see the name "Jae" much.

FYI, "Phylbean" is my name.  Phyl is short for Phyllis, but too many years of being called "Phyllis Diller" made me shorten it.  Besides, my parents picked the name Phyllis about 20 years after it had gone out of vogue.  Oh well.

eatbugs is the first username i ever had from the mid 1990s. i signed up for an account online and every username i picked was already taken, figuring there aren't too many bug eaters out there i tried it in frustration, viola.

I am a huge Patsy Cline fan and had a bit of a devilish streak in me as well.

My brother calls me a Pirate because he says I sound like one (not literally, but when I am goofing around I curse and grumble alot)

And Kitty is a nickname my bf has for me.

I am the Pirate Kitty!! Me-Yar!

peaches- that is funny because people used to call me peaches a couple years ago. i had this huge inside joke with my ex boyfriend. he used to ask me a question that he quoted from this movie. [i will spare everyone what that question was because its very x-rated.] well, while you ponder what it was that he asked me, my answer was peaches. as a joke, i made that my name for Facebook. then when someone was looking for me at a party i went to, he asked for Peaches, not my real name. everyone was kinda confused on who he was looking for. everyone just called me Peaches after that.

 Hey, coma.  I think you and I might have something in common there.  Except mine originally started in reference to a female body part on the upper half of the body.  And the name just kinda stuck. That's all I'm gonna say though.

I think I have the most basic name here. It is my name (my name shortened)and why I am here. I have a hard time remembering all the user names I have in different places, so I started going with who would be using it and why. So as un-unique as it is I started as ShanFood here. If I knew I would be using the forums, not just the other tools here, I may have gone with something more cute!

Krasca or Kraska means 'paint' in Russian as a noun. I used to draw a lot and I wished I could paint well, but I stopped drawing because I felt I was wasting my time. However, the wish remains to be a great painter. :]

I also used this username because I didn't want people to google my regular username/screenname and see my account on CC. I'd feel super weird about explaining my obsession with calories to them. 

Mine is so old, my name is Janine and people constantly shortened it to Nina or J9.  When I moved to a new place when I was in 7th grade no one could pronounce my name so they gave me a new one.  Gwen, I was known as Gwen from 7th grade until I graduated high school, some people honestly didn't know my name was Janine when I graduated, there you have it: j9gwen

Well my name is Aly- a nick name for Alexandra (alex never stuck)

My mom's bf has been calling me alykat since I was little- I changed the spelling to make it unique.

I noticed that even alykat is taken alot of places, so when I was making a new email I thought it would be cute- like a lost alley cat...
