Any user of Phase 2 carb blocker?

According to this study, it appears Phase 2 may enhance weight loss. Particularly the decrease of body fat is very promising.
Does anybody have any experience with Phase 2 (or similar phaseolamin product)?
The science behind this product seems sound. Unlike orlistat, no oily discharges or vitamin deficiencies to worry about.
Please keep this discussion on Phase 2 (or other phaseolamin products) – I don’t need the lecture on diet pills.
I am going to begin a personal trial to see if it enhances my current program.
Hi!
I just purchased this product from WholeHealthProducts.com.....I am currently taking orlistat and it seems to be helping me lose the weight. I don't get the bad "treatment effects" because I stay within the fat percentage advised.
I am going to try both products to see what comes of it. I see you purchased this product on Dec 11, has it helped you?

I think it has helped. I am eating healthy diet at my CC recomended calorie level (average). I am exercising. I am taking Phase 2 before some starchy meals, and I am taking Sea-Thin (fucoxanthin supplement). On December 12th I weighed in at 215, this AM I weighed in at 202. This is through the holidays! If I just go by the CC plan, I should have lost 8 pounds.
I do not use Alli because I fear it blocks healthy fatty acids.
Wow! That is nice weight loss.......I hit a plateau and Alli has seemed to break that. But my weight loss is painfully slow.....about half a pound a week.
I received the phase 2 product yesterday and am going to incorporate it into my regime. We'll see what happens.
By the way I followed your thread on another forum where the girl wrote out what her dietician told her............it seemed everyone was attacking you for what you said. I don't think they were getting what you were saying. Eating more is not going to increase your metabolic rate it will just help control satisfaction. I think eating 6 meals a day would lead to a higher chance of over eating.
Anyway......for what it is worth I agree with you!
I read an interesting blog on Alli and Phase 2 the other day. The writer found that a lot of people who take these products are gaining weight. Not because the products don't work, but because the users think they can eat more when taking them.

I agree with strikez. I just started trying phase 2 myself. once a day. I try to keep carbs to a minimum at dinner. Just need the bonus. But something tells me its mainly for low carbers who just need to indulge a bit, rather than for the regular reduced calorie who is looking for the bonus.
I think the low carbers look for it as a way to cheat. For some reason, a lot of the literature is aimed at them (probably because they are looking for ways to cheat and keep on the diet at the same time)
If you refer to the study linked above, it was done with calorie restricted calorie diet (2000-2200). So it was more of a bonus to a restricted calorie diet, than an assist to a ketogenic diet.
I've been stalled for about a year (lost 10lbs last year over 12 months). I gained a bunch during the holidays (~5lbs) and lost it again. But I want to get past this "plateau". I hadn't been paying much attention to CC for the year; I was just keeping on my new lifestyle. But my lifestyle was calorie-deficient because I'm exercising a lot more. Oh noz! o_O
So I decided I need to up my calories, eat normal meals and stuff, but I'm worried about sliding in the wrong direction on the scale. I don't want to go Atkins or anything, but I read your post over on the AFC thread about Phase 2 and then I read the study. It looked compelling, so I ordered some Phase 2 (and some vitamins and Omega-3) from www.WholeHealthProducts.com. I've been taking them for almost a week and it does seem to be helping. I won't really know if there's a big change for a while. But I do feel better about eating more this way. :-\ And it's easier to eat with my family on Phase 2 without worrying about "appearances".
On Saturday I had my normal (500 cal) breakfast but I also took my Phase 2 pill. Later on I felt slightly dizzy while working (upside down) on some table hardware. I didn't feel unusually hungry, but I did notice it was about 12:30 and time for lunch. The thought occurred to me that it might be because of low blood sugar caused by skipping the starch digestion.
Have you noticed anything like that?
Wow, phord you were dizzy? I will not take anything that makes me feel weird and the phase 2 is nothing for me. Maybe you have an enhanced phase 2 or working upside down on some table hardware might do it.
I do not use phase 2 to cheat. I use phase 2 to help hamper my carb intake. Though my carb intake usually is not bad, but I have my days. For example almost everyday for lunch I have a weight watchers smart ones. Loaded with carbs average 40g, that's when I take it. I do not eat carbs at dinner as I know I will have my last snack before bed and its usually a carb snack.
it was probably more like "hey, i'm upsidown."
