Hi
I am just starting today, I definitely NEED a support group for my goal to be met. I have been struggling with the same 10 lbs, than 15 and now 25lbs WAY TOO LONG! I really want this to work! I am pretty active I love to run and I do some weights and good old fashion situps....etc. I say I watch what I eat, but I think the emotional crap....really gets to me and I take it out in FOOD! So please give me support....tell me how it has been going with this program....etc.
I completely understand what you mean. i have been obese for 8 years now. I started dieting back in November of 08 and have lost around 15 lbs. I have 3 kids and a hetic life, LOL. I am a stay at home mom, run errands, volunteer at the school my girls go to and take care of an infant so all day. I admit I do not exercise every day like I should but I have watched what i eat. Everyone thinks when you go on a diet it means no more chocolate, ice cream, hamburgers, etc etc. What people do not understand it that you can find variasions to those foods. For example if you are craving a hamburger there are all different types of recipes here on CC. If you are craving chocolate eat it. I have found those 100 calorie packets and love them. For example: I recently bought a box of those 100 calorie packs and they include: resse pieces, hershey choclate, choclate chip cookies, oreo cookies, etc etc. That way i can eat my chocolate and not throw away my diet. If you are a soda drinker try to find a diet version. I love coca cola. I now drink a Cherry Coke Zero. It contains 0 calories, 0 fat, 0 sugar but taste like a cherry coke. If you are a tea drinker find the Crystal Lite for 5 calories a glass or I use the Wal-Mart brand which has 0 calories. I love their Peach Tea, Lemonades, and Cherry limeade brand. They are usually in the Drink isle with the kool-aids. I eat fresh fruits and veggies and always carry something with me if I have to run errands. if you know you are going to be out for awhile then take some fruit or chopped up veggies. Those calorie packs also are good for the take alongs. Extra Gum is also good to have if you like to chew gum. It helps curb your hungry and taste great. Allow yourself to slurge every once in awhile and dont beat yourself up if you gain a couple of pounds. If you dont allow yourself to eat stuff you really like or crave then you are more likely to fail the diet I heard. I hope this helps you out. If you ever need to talk please send me a line and I will be glad to help out if possible and if not I will help you find someone that can help. |
You are very kind and I added you as well to my friend list (I think if I did it right) I am asking everyone this question, so I am going to ask you as well, I am still confused on the eat and burn meter. my eat is 1900 and my burn is 2160, I thought originally what it meant was I could eat up to 1900 cal and still lose weight on this program. Now after hearing from a couple of people not sure if that is right? One person said you subtract 500 from your burn number and that is what you can eat and lose which would be 1660 cal. Is that right? It sounds more like the right number, but I'm going to be hungry? Tell me how you interpet the meters, please. And if the girl is right with 1660 why does the meter say 1900? |
