I am too scared to weigh myself today, I am afraid of what the number will say! I just feel sort of heavy. Anyway....I should probably do it tomorrow, hopefully that will influence me to eat healthily tonight.

EXERCISE: I had planned on running at the gym, then doing bodypump, then coming home for a healthy meal. What did I do instead? Well....I drove to the gym, got out my gym bag and noticed my shoes were not in there. OK. Saw a shoe in the trunk. All right! Well, only one shoe. So, I left, cause how am I going to run in my cute Audrey Hepburn-like flats? So I decide I will just run outside at home, about 4 miles and be done with it. It was about 90*, humidity just over the top...probably over 100%. Starting running. I felt like I was going in slow motion, my shorts were uncomfortable, my calfs felt tight, the list goes on. I only ended up running about 12 minutes and was so mad at myself. I walked the rest of the way home....so I was outside "working out" for about 33 minutes. But still. I was pissed. Tuesday running 30 minutes was no problem. But most runners have off days. I am attributing it to that, plus the weather and shorts that were pissing me off. Today I am running in the gym, hands down. Record breaking highs this weekend, so they say.

Went to the store last night and got stuff to make hummus. Very successful! It was my first time, but it tastes great, and knowing it is homemade and what is in it is even better. Did not do my BodyPump last night, I am just having a serious motivation problem these last few weeks. Ever since the week after I got back from the wedding, I have been tired and lazy and blah. I don't know if it is the weather or what, but I do not really feel like"me."

I need to snap out of it and get going if I plan on losing 10 pounds by Nov. 1.

Calorie goal per day: 1550, maybe more depending on amount of exercise.

Workout goal per week: 5 times AT LEAST. I would like to start throwing in a run or some cardio on Saturdays or Sundays. Which would make it 6 times a week.

I really would like to be in the 130's and the 120's would be even better. But my main goal is to like how I look in a pair of pants wearing flats or no shoes at all. I am pretty ok with how I look in pants while wearing heels, but no 4 inchers are another story.

I am going to weigh either tomorrow morning or Saturday, and that will be my start weight, again.....I have a feeling I am not going to like what I see....Oh well.

Tonight: 30 minute run and bodypump is my plan.

Ran last night along the riverfront. I almost died, due to humidity. One of those days where you walk outside and immediately start to sweat. I was sooo happy to be running again,though! Ran for 30 minutes and then I was pooped, due to not running in about 2 weeks and the weather.

Dinner last night was supposed to be ONLY veggies, but of course, I was hungry!

  • 2 small pieces of jacks pizza
  • fat free cherry cheesecake yogurt with 1/4 cup golden grahams
  • 1.5 cups cauliflower and zuchinni with soy sauce
  • 1 small slice of rye bread with garlic and butter

I think that is it. Not bad. The pieces of pizza were pretty small, the BF ate almost the whole thing, then I just finished it off.

BodyPump tonight. Then Target for a few things, then the grocery store. One of my favorite things to do! I am going to attempt to make hummus for the first time, and also capellini pomodoro. I love Olive Garden's, so  I googled for a recipe and found one. I can't wait to try it!

I am really wanting some california rolls right now, but there is no place around here to get those! I want them really really bad. I would make myown, but I don't feel like putting that much effort into it. I can get 6 rolls for less than 3$ at a place by my house, maybe I will do that for dinner tomorrow....BF is going to be golfing all night, and he does not eat that stuff.

Once again, long time no write....

Took a long hiatus from working out. Last time I worked out was July 17!!! And that was only about a 2.5 mile run. So, I finally got back into the game last night! Did my Monday night BodyPump class, and I am a little sore, but in a good way. I am back on track. Tonight I am going to run. I would prefer to run outside, but it is supposed to rain, so it may be the treadmill at the gym.

Dinner tonight, I am just going to eat some veggies that I need to eat up, SOON! I have steamed cauliflower, zuchhini, peas and fresh corn. I may throw in a piece of toast or something, but these veggies really need to be eaten, and I forgot to bring some to work today.

Not sure about the weight, my clothes seem to be fitting the same, but I am still not 100% satisfied about my body and weight. I really would love to lose at least 10 pounds, possible 15. It is not much, but it is going to take some work.

Lunch today is a ham sandwich and a big bowl of fresh watermelon and some baby carrots.

I also need to get back on the water band wagon, I have been seriously slacking! I used to drink about 90 ounces a day, it has gone down to about 30. I feel better when I drink more water, so that is a new goal (again!) drink more water.

I want to lose 10 pounds by Nov. 1. I wonder if that is a reasonable goal? Say I weigh 145 (which is probably about correct, give or take a pound or two) So, if I could lose 1 pound a week, that would be....14 pounds. And that would be amazing, but I don't know if I should count on 1 pound a week. I would like to see it, but I haven't done it yet, so.....I will work really hard, do my workouts and eat right.

Have not journaled since July 11! It has been a crazy couple weeks. not sure about my weight, may do that tomorrow, but feel like I am around 144 ish.

Baby Shower, Poison Concert, Wedding (bridesmaid).....

I am trying to get back on track. Eating healthy during the week is a no brainer, like second nature. I need to get to the gym, although I thought about taking a bit of a break this week. I ran last Thursday, only 2.5 miles, but it was about 90* out. Woot, it was hot.

The wedding this weekend was amazing...it was in Oak Brook,IL at the Wydham Drake Hotel. Gorgeous. Everything went well, the bride seemed very happy and the new couple left for Tahiti today. The pictures are fun, my hair looked great and I think everyone enjoyed themselves.

I really want to lose weight, I just dont know what I am doing wrong. Am I eating enough, not enough, working out too much, not enough, eating back my WHOLE defecit from the week on the weekends? I don't know. I was reading this article in Self mag. and it said to figure out how many cals. you should eat to lose weight, do one of two equasions:

For a ballpark figure, multiply your weight by 13 if you're sedentary, 14 if you exercise four times a week for 45 minutes and 16 if you work out daily for an hour or more. Looking to lose? Multiply your weight by 12 no matter how much you exercise.

144 x 12=1728

OR

1. Multiply your current weight in pounds (or goal weight if you're dieting) by 4.5.    562.5
2. Multiply height in inches by 15.88.    1000.44
3. Add the numbers in lines 1 and 2.    1562.94
4. Multiply age by 5.     125
5. Subtract line 4 from line 3.  1437.94
6. Subtract 161 from line 5. 1276.94
7. Multiply line 6 by your activity factor.* 
1979.25 (x1.55) OR 1755.79(x1.375)

*Activity factor
Choose the one that seems most like your exercise habits:

I am usually Moderate at 3-5 days a week. That just seems like SO MUCH to be eating! Could it be that is true? I guess I could give it a couple weeks and see what's up. What do I have to lose, besides weight! ahahaa.

Anyone have any thoughts, ideas, input on either of the two equasions? I am thinking maybe I want to aim for about 1700 cals.....on the weeks where I workout 3-5 times.

I skipped the gym last night. Went and had sushi with a friend, then I convinced her to go to Dairy Queen. I have been wanting it ALL week. This is one of the worst cases of PMS I have ever had! Super tired, cranky,hungry...at least today I feel normal again!

Plan on going to Body Combat tonight. Body pump tomorrow morning. a run on sunday....maybe. I am also going to scrub my shower sparkling this saturdat. oh, I do have a baby shower on sunday. It starts at 3, but it will take about 30-45 minutes to get there. uggghh. Sunday afternoon, gone. Blah. anyway...

No plans tonight. I want more sushi! I am trying to find a place around my work, but I don't think there is one....

Gym last night:

  • 10 minutes running (1 mile)
  • 15 minutes stair stepper, the one where you are actually climbing, the stairs move
  • 5 minutes running
  • 10 minutes walking 3.8 mph at 6 incline

I had NO energy at the gym last night. I think it was because I was trying to eat 1200-1300 cals. So I only had breakfast and lunch. I did not have my 10.30 am snack or my 3.30-4 pm snack. I was hot, faint, light headed and weak throughout the workout. I just need more fuel, I guess. I don't know how I am ever going to lose weight. What do I need to do?!!?!?! Well, I know I need more control on the weekends. I know that, and am going to work on it. Other than that, what? I just magically stop drinking on the weekends and start toeat better sat. and sun. is the weight going to magically fall off? Doubt it. But, it is start I guess I will try. This sucks. Baugh.

I am still tired. I just want this week to be over so I can relax, get my house clean, get my laundry done and do NOTHING. every weekend has something going on and it is pissing me off. I guess I should be lucky to have friends who want to include me in things, but it would be nice to have a day or two to myself where I could at least clean my shower. As is, I don't even want to step in there to clean myself.

I am so tired in the morning and late afternoon, then I get home after the gym, and I am not and cannot fall asleep! what is going on. I need a vacation.

Vuuurry tired today. I think it is something in the air...a lot of people in my office seem sleep deprived today!

Did Bodypump last night. It was tough, I was tired and it really affected my performance. They put up a sheet saying how many calories each of the "body" classes burn. The average woman burns about 380 in one hour of bodypump. Depending on intesity and weight amounts. So I think I may be burning about 400 or more. THIS is one good reason I should get a heart rate monitor. I am thinking about trying the RPM class, which is a spin type class. There is one tonight. I am nervous since it is my first time, but I am really getting into the class atmosphere!!

I joined weight watchers free 7 day online trial. I was told I was allowed 21 points for my height and weight. I entered in what I had eated for breakfast, my planned snack and lunch. Not sure about dinner, but I only had 4.5 points left! Maybe one of the reasons I am maintaining and NOT losing (besides going crazy on the weekends....) I AM EATING TOO MUCH. I always think I need to eat more, but I am not losing. So therefore, I must be eating too much? I think with the amount of exercise I do, I need to eat. But I think I may shoot for 1200-1300 cals for the week and see if anything happens. But that seems like so little, b/c my BMR is about 1486. I dont know what to do. I just want these last 10-15 pounds gone. For the month of August, I am really going to watch my alcohol intake.

 There is my plan. Sticking with it is the goal.

My eating and exercising throughout the workweek is great. I eat well, go to the gym 4-5 times. The weekends are my downfall, as is for most people. Last night I ate way too much....PMS, anyone? Usually I can control the cravings, but yesterday was BAD. New start today. No m&ms, no runts, mini snickers are gone, leftovers from the weekend are gone.....good food in the fridge and freezer for dinner.

 

****so i have been surfing around the weight watchers website, checking things out, wanting to get my 7 day free trials worth and....MY GOAL WEIGHT IS 113 POUNDS. Ammm....I dont know the last time i have weighed that litte! maybe jr high? actually, i think i was about 120 in jr high....

I have large leg muscles, calf muscles and butt muscles. I dont think I could ever be 113! I think i would look sick! i think 130-125 is a good range for me...crazy people...

Weight this a.m...... 147 point something....

blah. not bad after everything I did this weekend. Healthy food ready for the week. Workouts planned. Just L-I-V-I-N, baby.

Drink some water, lots-o-water.

Wish it was Friday already. i am super tired, there was a HUGE storm, and I did not sleep well at all. Usually storms dont bother me, but this was one large in charge thunder filled super lightning storm. Plus I got a little too much sun sat and sunday, so I was super hot all night long.

Have no plans this weekend, and I am really excited about that. My poor house is neglected, along with my laundry.

Grilling out tonight, if the weather cooperates! Otherwise, I guess we'll just stick them under the broiler....

Not much going on...workin' for the weekend! Woke up at 145.4 today,ugghh... haven't used the bathroom much since sunday, could be the culprit...doubt I gained 2 "real" pounds this weekend. I ate a ton more and drank way more the previous weekend, but oh well. I am working out and eating right 90% of the time. If this is the weight I am meant to be,then blah.

Ran 31 minutes last night at my parents. new route. new soreness today....

Body pump tonight, maybe some running. got a lot to pack and do before the weekend.
