Entry Starting Over Again
Nov 07 2009 19:05

For the last weeks I was stressed, busy and I felt a failure!!

However you know what I think is the failing point????   It is the non-preparation or the not-planning beforehand.   I was not preparing salad for work and so for lunch I was ending up really hungry with the result that the first and most convenient and fast thing to prepare is bread or opening a cake until I finish preparing something to eat.

To make it worse I tend to continue eating all the crap once I fail and so junk myself with crisps, pies and all the stuff.

Not entering CC and logging my food makes it worse cause you know that you are overdoing it but not by how much.

However, yesterday I logged in and noted that I am still part of a team who is also struggling with weight loss but there are also a large group who have succeeded and I feel so good for them.   They were also a big inspiration for me to start again.

So here is my plan:

1)  Morning before work prepare salad or have some leftover soup for lunch.

2) Plan all my meals from the day before so I am sure I have all necessary ingredients and have enough time to prepare dinner.

3) Continue going to my aerobic classes 3 times a week, 1 hour each class.

BY the way, this is the best thing I have done these last weeks, I have again joined aerobic classes and they are real FUN!!!!   At least I do not moan for exercising even though I wake up all soar the next day.

There is also another thing I have to learn, not to expect so much of myself!!!!!   That is I should stop making extreme high hopes of loosing loads in a short period of time cause the result is that at the end I feel I am not managing the target I put and feel a failure and so I EAT!!!

what an uplifting entry, its always great to have a plan.

try recognising what went wrong last time that made you slip up and avoid it again

best of luck!

yeah... that was a great journal read! Ya know for me prep is pretty important too. My biggest mistake is not making it to the store when I am low on produce and healthy snacks. Because of my family there is never a shortage of bad snacks here... but it seems that the good, healthy, clean snacks go first... That is good thing I guess but can lead to total disaster for me. I have needed to make a run to the store for the past couple of days and now that I think about it... that is probably what a majority of my problem is. Thanks Amandaj1... that was so helpful to read and to know none of us are alone!!! When we slip there are so many great people here at CC to help us pick back up and keep on going! You hang in there! Best of luck to you and to all of us!!!Smile

Thank You Friends!!!

It surely makes you feel good trying again and having someone behind you encouraging you!  Thanks.

Yeah, roxiegirl I have your same problem of having 3 kids around and so bad snacks are always at hand.  It is sooooo difficult to open a cupboard and say no to a loud inner voice saying eat me I am delicious!!!!  I think one day I should stick pictures of a fat me on the cupboard so that maybe it may encourage me to stop short of eating.

Thanks.  Good Luck for today!!!
