Happy Friday!
I might find out if I got my loan today!*crossing fingers* Oh, it would make my life just a little easier if I did. The rep from the credit union called me on Wednesday after she had pulled my credit report, and said that it looked pretty good, so I am really hoping!
Yesterday's eating habits were not so great. I brought my lunch to work, and then decided to order out with the other girls in the office. They were ordering from this amazing place that has really specialized sandwiches and wraps. Things that would never be found in my kitchen, that's for sure (turkey sandwich with sage derby cheese and cranberry chutney mayo on homemade country white bread...hmmmm....it was delicious) So, anyway, I had plenty of calories, and I figured I would just have a light dinner. What really got me, was the $9 that the sandwich cost! $9!!!! For a sandwich! I used to order out all the time before. What happened to me? Did I fall into a fuzzy haze and completely ignore the fact that ordering lunch is not only ridiculously expensive but also high in calorie? Craziness...but a good wake-up call. It's really no surprise that I have some financial difficulties since I used to do that ALL THE TIME!!! Now, I limit myself to one outside lunch a week.
So, when I got home, I had intentions of going to take that yoga class that I missed out on on Tuesday. But my little black dog looked at me with his big Pug eyes, and I couldn't leave. So we stayed home, worked on some candles (managed to get into a show for November 15th - which means I need to get crackin) and I made a CC recipe. Creamy Pumpkin Pasta - fabulous! Sounds like it could be gross, but it was delicious. The best part is that it is only 272 calories a serving...which I figured, since I had a little more than a serving was probably 330. Then while watching some DVR catch-ups, I used my little stationary peddler. I used it for 60 minutes, and it said right on it that I burned 591 calories, which I still find hard to believe, but ok - if it says so, and CC says it burned even more, then it must be pretty accurate.
Hope everyone has a great, safe, fun-filled weekend!
Hope everyone has a great day!
I'm sending good thoughts your way! I hope everything works out so you can get some of the extra stress off your back. Realizing the ridiculous cost of food and cutting back will help too. The pumpkin pasta sounds delicious - two very yummy things! And the peddler is a great way to multi task. I would love to get something like that so I don't have to choose between my favorite shows and the gym! Hope you have a great weekend and get some good news! :) |
