Entry Swimming against the current
Nov 10 2009 14:28

Today is a down day. I feel like I'm trying to walk cross country on a treadmill. In other words, I'm not getting anywhere. Now, I know I have lost 6 lbs in about a month and a half, and I also know that the weight will probably come off in about another week, but come on here! I'm getting impatient, because I am eating a lot less than I was, and I am going to the gym. And I'm whining. And I get annoyed with myself when I whine. I need to snap out of this!

I guess I'm just anxious to see more obvious results. And it's no wonder people give up and return to their old habits. It's frustrating! I, by no means, am returning to my old ways, but I'm just saying. It would be easy to.

Tonight is yoga class...then probably more candle making. Then who knows? Maybe I'll do dinner with the man friend, maybe not. Depends on if he's spooked like a horse. This is a repeated pattern. We get really close to crossing the line, and then he hightails it for a little while, and then he comes back again. It's ridiculous. But it's better than the recent experiences I've had with dating.

Ok, I know I need to stay positive...stay focused....and stay active. And talk to my dad....I am such a procrastinator!

Hey, I know exactly what you're going through... I've been stuck hovering around the -6lbs mark for way too long now.  Trying to figure out how to jump start make into the downward trend.  Lemme know if you find something that works and I'll do likewise :-)

hey there! I know that things are frustrating! I am there with you and heather. The only difference is that I have only lost 1.5lbs in about 3 weeks, so take comfort in knowing that you are making progress!!!!

Dont wait too long to talk to your dad. If he will do that for you, it will be a huge weight off your shoulders. I will be placing my candles order this week, too!

Thanks so much for the words of encouragement! It helps to know that this is happening to others too!
