Entry Cooling down....
Jun 24 2009 15:06

It has been in the mid 90's here the past couple of days and it has finally cooled down enough that I can ride today.

I have been doing some groundwork with her and also working on some points in the saddle which have been killing my legs.  Talk about a good workout - go ride a horse on leg cues alone (no rein commands).

Friday we are headed down to see the Grandkids and need to make sure that I stay on track so I planed two meals to cook at the kids house and will bring along staples to make sure that I am good.  Looking forward to some time away!

Entry Down 21 pounds!
Jun 18 2009 09:46

Yeah!  I hit the 21st pound lost this morning after no loss for 4 days.  I have been doing more activities such as horseback riding and man is that a good workout.

I have been contemplating starting Pro90 but would like to get another 25 off before I embark on that journey.

Today is busy, I have a riding lesson, need to weed the garden, transplant 16 Iris and then to try and get the wildflowers in too.  Love gardening!

It is so good to see you guys!  So tell me how are you all doing?

The nutritionist was awesome and she said that she doesn't even eat as healthy as I do which was great to hear.  If you recall I was always manic about what went in my mouth (at least prior to the tornado).  I am sticking with my whole food plan that contains at least 6-8 servings of veggies, 2 servings of fruit, one serving of protein etc.  I am usually always in the following percentages:

Carbs - 50%

Protein - 25%

Fat - 20%

I can't believe that I gained back all this weight but I am back on the path and that is all that matters.

Doing good staying on track and have consulted with a nutiritionist as well and I have been steadily losing about 2-3 pounds per week.

I have been able to do alot of horseback riding as well which really helps with burning those calories.

All of my past friends are gone now and hoping to make some new friends here on CC.

Entry Whoa - where did the time go?
Jun 10 2009 10:07

It has been 2 years since I was here and now 70 pounds heavier :-(  We were hit by a tornado and the stress just threw me off and before I knew it, I went from 170 to 255 and now I am at 235.

I have been here for several weeks now diligently keeping my food log and wanting to get back on track.

Alot of names have changed here and folks I used to be in touch with are now gone so hopefully I can make some new friends.

Well, I feel like I am going over to the dark side and decided to try the South Beach Diet for a month and see how things go.  I have been losing sooooo slow now that I would like to mix it up a bit.

It felt like a sin to eat 2 slices of bacon this morning too - weird!

We have two two additions to the family now and rescued two cats from the Humane Society and got a black and white adult female (Jada) and a Siamese kitten (Jasmine).  Both are just precious and I will post some pics soon.
