I had a rough day at work but am pleased to say that I stayed under my calories and my analysis looks good. The analysis report isn't working on the site that I log food but here's the basics:

Calories out: 2822
Calories in:   2315
Deficit: 507

Sodium: 1989
Fat: 28%
Carb: 55%
Protein: 17%

Vitamin A, C, Calcium, and Iron all at 100% or greater.

Exercise: 45 minutes (15 bike morning and 30 bike evening)

  1. exercise: 186/150  yes
  2. calories: 2315 - 500 deficit yes
  3. logged: yes
  4. Sodium: 1989 yes

Lily, I want to thank you again for reminding me of my commitment to eating out less. We decided last Sunday to revamp our plan and to really start cutting back on eating out. So here's the plan:

  1. One "Treat night" a week
  2. Each non "treat night" we put $5 in our vacation fund if we don't eat out
  3. Each "Treat night" that we opt not to eat out $25 goes into the fund (this would be the money saved by not eating out that night)
  4. Each non "Treat night" that we eat out the money comes out of the fund

If we follow this plan we should have enough put aside by the last week of March 2010 (Spring Break) to take the kids on a real spring break vacation. This is something they will definitely look forward to as our usual spring break is maybe a day trip or local weekend trip (last year spent the night in Cincinnati, this year a night in Indianapolis). So this coming year we should be able to actually take a real vacation

So far we've done great. We've accumulated $25 and have only had our one "treat night" which was tonight.
