Ultra-90

On Wednesday night, January 7th, I began the Ultra-90 regimen. The main difference I see after 3 days is that I cannot eat after about 7:30pm and that is different for me. And also, in the morning, I have to wait 1 hour before I can eat brekky. I haven't noticed any other major differences. But I do feel good, and I feel positive that I will lose weight.

I have not really cut back on my butter yet, but I am eating less. And since January 1st, I have conisistently eaten 500 to 800 calories LESS than I have consumed... that could explain why it looks like I have lost 2-3 lbs since January 1st.

God help me! I must get fitter!

re-starting AGAIN

It is good to never give up. It's like this: if I never START OVER on my fitness quest, then I would have accepted my fat(e) (fat/fate--clever, eh?). But the very point is that is actually KEEP TRYING, so that I have not given up.

I have friends who just gave up, and accepted being 50-75lbs overweight. They just said, 'I can't lose it, so I'll just be happy the way I am.' But I could not be happy 60 lbs over weight. Thank God.

God is helping me (He always does, but this time I am letting Him). I have had a great 1st 2 days. I did aerobic activity all three days of January so far, and I feel terrific. I did not eat at restaurants so far. That is a big deal for me. I love to eat at Chick-fil-A.

The bathroom scale says I lost 16oz in 3 days... I would like to lose 2-5 lbs a week, but I'll be happy with 1 good solid pound a week. I mean, every little bit feels so different in my clothes.

So, I have 60 pounds to go to be 130lbs--my ideal weight. If Fairy Tales comes true, I would get down to 128 and stay there. At my height, that was my perfect weight back when I was 27. God-willing, all of us will become fitter and encourage each other along the way.

starting over...again

Here i go again. I've been dieting since I was sixteen, and I am about to turn 40. So today I re-begin the 6-week Body makeOver program. I did it last October for 2 weeks without cheating and lost an amazing 18 lbs. But then I fell off and went back to my old eating habits. This plan is smart and teaches me to eat the right foods and the right amounts. Splurging is allowed if controlled--and only after I've reached my goal. So that is what I remind myself. Ellen, just stick to this, and when you get to your goal, you can eat more carbs and cheeses... until then, you can barely fit into your clothes and it is getting CRAZY! I want to lose 60lbs. Here we go!
