sundayyyyyy

Well last week, M-F, I ate very well. Not perfect, but in my calorie range and had good workouts. Yesterday I was having a HORRIBLE day. Just woke up on the wrong side of the bed and all that good stuff. I was feeling HUGE and was sooo bored because I couldn't find anything to do for last night. All anyone EVER wants to do is go out. That's cool with me, but they aren't trying to cut back calories, so they easily consume 1000+ calories that night. I ended up eating 2900 calories yesterday -- not something I'm proud of... but in all actuality, it could have probably been a lot worse. I did do the elliptical for 30 minutes and take a short bike ride, so I'm hoping that offset some of those ridiculous calories. Sooo, last night I ended up going to a friend's house to watch tv, then going to a party to see a few people. Let me tell you, parties are LAME when you're not drinking, lol. Plus, you get the "why aren't you drinking?" question every 5 minutes. Not to mention, people offering you drinks like crazy. People, I said I am not drinking tonight!! lol

Anyways, back on track today. One minor setback isn't going to kill me, as long as I get right back on track. This is a long journey. The thing that is killing me right now is patience. I work SO hard, and then the scale doesn't reflect any of it, and I don't feel any smaller at all. I need to give it time, but I just need some sort of instant feedback to keep me going.....

Well, Happy Sunday everyone.. hope you all have a good day! :)

motivation

Sooo just found out I'm going to VEGAS with one of my best friends! Not until Spring Break, so that gives me PLENTY of time to lose this weight! We are both about 165 lbs. She wants to drop 30 lbs, but I'm thinking 20-25, or so. I want a six-pack! lol

I've done very well this week, M-F, with my exercise and eating. I'm glad I have a few days down. It seems like those are always the worst. Now I have a reason to stick with it. MOTIVATION.

Not sure what my current weight is, but I think 165ish. Exactly what I deserve after a weekend celebration of my friend's 21st last weekend. And I mean FULL OUT! haha Oh well, I'm on it now.. and that's what matters.

SO excited right now. Gettin this body slimmed down, and firmed up. =) And yes, I have been lifting... I always feel so much better when I lift.. yay!

Now I just gotta drop those pounds! Oh, and I'm avoiding alcohol as much as possible.. it only leads to ridiculous amounts of calories, plus cravings the next day, as well as slacking on the workouts. I know this journal skipped around a lot, but my mind is going 100mph right now, lol. Night all.

back from vacation

First off, vacation in Myrtle Beach was soo awesome last week! Didn't do a whole lot, but I soaked up lots of sun and got to hang with my mom! :) It was very relaxing.. and I got a killer tan ..

Only one problem.... I ran ONCE all week.. ONCE! So pretty much I did absolutely no form of exercise other than walking on the beach... oh and did I mention I ate enough for two people everyday! Yuck!

Today I did soo well! I'm so happy with myself. It's nice to get back in the routine. I need to lose this flub and get RIPPED. Off to a good start after today! I did the elliptical for 65 min.. I watched this old bball tape so I got motivated to play bball. I went to buy some nwe bball shoes then hit the gym for some hoops with my guy friend. We ended up shooting around then playing like 6 games of 1-on-1. Talk about burning some MAJOR calories. I LOVE COMPETITION! I only won one game, but it was a BLAST! After that I hit the weights... not a hardcore lift, but decent. Not bad for my first lift in awhile. Thennnnn I had to go to open gym for my bball team tonight. Didn't play or anything but had to do a little bit of passing and stuff while I was there. So I'd definitely say I got my exercise goal today!

However, the biggie was my eating! Finished at just over 1500 calories! Yay!! I've been trying to incorporate a lot of protein into my diet so I can build muscle and lose this damn fat. Now I just gotta keep it up....

maintenance today

Ate maintenance today... not too happy about that. We had pizza for supper, which still fit into my calories but barely. I ate some ice cream after that which put me up to maintenance. I guess even though I ate A LOT of it, it's still probably better than eating a DQ blizzard or something! Oh well, I guess maintenance is better than eating over my calorie burn.

Exercise today: went running about 4 miles (walked some tho) and had a sand vball game tonight, but it wasn't as intense as the league I play in on Mondays. Still was a decent time, but I didn't feel like I burned as many calories as Monday.

Weight was 165/166 this morning. This seems to be where I always end up when I kinda go crazy and eat whatever for a few weeks. I really wanna get back to 155, which is what I weighed after I got mono last fall. Then 150 from there. Baby steps...

Reflection

I was reading through my old entries, and it seems like each one is the same old thing.. "Well I did well yesterday until I ate (insert junk food here)..." and "I feel sooo huge..." and "I'll start tomorrow." Ugh I just sound annoying! I think my biggest thing to learn is patience. I tend to give up if I don't see results right away. I think I also need to limit how often I weigh myself. If I see a high number, I get discouraged. Sometimes seeing a low number makes me think I can snack all day. I mean, DUH! Obviously cutting calories is working, why would I do the opposite?! Well, as my mom suggests, once a week. Mom does know best :)

Finished at 1800 calories for today. Ran a mile, walked a mile, and played a very intense game of sand volleyball. I love being the setter... I get in on all the action (and burn lots of calories too)!

Alright well here's to staying strong and sticking to the plan.

Day 2

Finally got my calories under control yesterday! I ended with 1450, which is actually less than what I'm allowing myself. I also went on an hour bike ride out in the (WINDY) country, played volleyball, and then refereed summer league vball games. I was exhausted last night but it was such a good feeling! I feel great when I stay active and keep my eating in check.

One quote I heard the other day... "Something is only as tough as you tell yourself it is." This is my new motto!

Weight is pretty high right now, but I'm working on it. This is to be expected after nearly a month of eating like crazy. I don't look huge or anything, but my I can definitely tell the difference in my stomach and also my thighs.. yuck!

Sooo for today, Day 2, I am setting a goal of 1500-1800.. I will be playing sand vball tonight (SOOO fun) and that usually is a good workout.

it's been forever

I managed to lose a few pounds thru lots of exercise and eating anywhere from 1600-1900 cal... then I went on vacation to FL and all hell broke loose. My best friend is sooo super skinny and NEVER works out. Ever. She made cookies, puppy chow, and smores. Of course I was the one who at most of it lol. I actually didn't gain any weight there, but I kept up my horrible eating habts for the past week and a half.. bad news! Anyways I think I have gained at least 5 pounds :( I can tell because my stomach looks so much bigger!

Soooo the cookies are gone, and I'm not making any more! I am going to set a goal of 1500-1800 calories, depending on my workouts. I really need to get my appetite back down, and only eat when I'm hungry instead of snacking all day! Workouts are going decent, but I need to lift more often. I got the new wii Active game and it's kicking my butt! The boxing is a workout... and I'm soo sore! haha but I love it!

New dude in the guy department but the only bad thing is that he isn't very sporty... he goes to watch my vball games and stuff (sand vball = amazing) but I mean sports are pretty much all I do! Sooo I'm taking it slow. I sorta already know its not gonna be a long term thing but he is such a nice guy that idk what to do. Oh well.

Here's to getting ripped! I want it soo bad! I need to FOCUS!

Time to get tough

Doing well so far today. Eaten about 800 calories so far and took the dog on a short walk. Goal is to workout 35 minutes (or more) on the elliptical later. After seeing a recent all-time high on the scale this morning, and practically binge eating on desserts all week, it is time for me to get serious. Eating that way just cannot be good for my body. Also, I feel like my stomach is getting sooo fat and I hate it. Day by day I guess. Gotta keep it up today. :)

Idk what's wrong with me. I just can't control my eating or get my calorie goal. I always crave junk food (desserts, mac and cheese, etc). I feel horrible about myself because I have gained back all the weight I lost w/ mono, plus like 2 pounds. I just don't know how I can get my eating under control. I workout enough to lose weight, but my eating sucks. SO frustrated right now.

One Week Challege

I'm challenging myself to one week of eating healthy... this means no more than 1700 calories per day, and the biggie - NO JUNK FOOD. By this, I mean sweets. I spoke too soon with my last post and have eaten like absolute crap the past 2 days. Lovely. Oh well, I guess that's the good thing about life - tomorrow's a new day :) Sooo starting when I wake up tomorrow (Sunday) through Saturday, I WILL eat well.

School starts back up Monday... somebody shoot me. I've been SO lazy over break, staying up until 2:30 at the earliest, and sleeping till noon. Monday is gonna be ROUGH. Can't wait until SUMMER!

Bought new running shoes today... gotta use em tomorrow!

One week challenge baby :)
