So the weekend is over, along with all its yummy temptations and calorie fest opportunities. I can safely say my diet has been balanced but I'll let you be the judge of whether that's a good or bad thing...!
On Saturday I ran out of time for breakfast, and was out walking most of the day. In the afternoon, I gave in to a Café Nero hot chocolate with whipped cream, chocolate... the lot; after my friend persuaded me to think about the "yummy" and not the calories. I felt pretty guilty later on so worked out for half an hour at home.
Today I actually tried out one of our very own Calorie Count Plus recipes, some mexican pitta pizza thing. It was really nice but I ended up using full fat sour cream instead of low fat so probably defeated the whole point of making a healthy meal... but never mind.
I'm off to watch the latest Ugly Betty episode now and then I'll get some beauty sleep.

Hi, When I first moved to the states I was a trim 125 lbs, two years and a marriage later I weighed 144 and wore a size 3 that was a bit tight. I worked out everyday and substituted snacks for fruit juice. The worst thing I could have done, I drank a jug of juice a day, equivalent to a very large meal, but nowhere near as satisfying. I switched to water and swiss miss 25 calorie hot chocolate and the weight practically fell off. The sugary juice actually made me feel hungrier and crave sweet things, however the water just quenches my thirst. It may sound boring but it does work, most people don't factor in the calories they get from drinks. I still exercise but not as much, I now wear a size 1 which is getting loose, I don't want to disappear so I'm just toning up now. The scale does not reflect my weight loss probably because muscle weighs more than fat. I am 140 lbs. I eat what I want on the weekends and about twice a month I'll have a baileys. So why not give it a go? I'd love to hear back from you and see how you got on. |
I would agree. I JUST recently started counting my drinks and was SHOCKED how many cals i was taking in. I'll let you know if it works for me or not. |
