			<title>Sometimes Life Isn't Fair</title>

			<description>&lt;p&gt;And sometimes that's a good thing.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I fell off the wagon a &lt;em&gt;little&lt;/em&gt; this week.&amp;nbsp; Hot flashes, insomnia and mood swings can do that to anybody.&amp;nbsp; And then there was that local food festival.&amp;nbsp; Yeah.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;But I guess I must not have fallen that far.&amp;nbsp; I still exercised portion control--most of the time.&amp;nbsp; And ended up with a three pound loss--over which I am scratching my head,&amp;nbsp; thanking God, and promising to do better this week.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Down eight total.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The burger stop went ok.&amp;nbsp; I still finished the day under the calorie limit that caloriecount set for me, but above the slightly lower limit I'd like to strive for.&lt;/p&gt;

			<title>A new challenge</title>

			<description>&lt;p&gt;OK, I'm going to have to stop the obsessive scale watching.&amp;nbsp; And I have a new challenge today--eating out.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;At probably the worst possible place to eat out.&amp;nbsp; Hubby wants to go to Five Guys.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Now Five Guys is a special treat for us.&amp;nbsp; The bacon cheeseburger is to die for, and I hope I don't mean literally.&amp;nbsp; Even the &quot;little&quot; bacon cheeseburger and a serving of fries (half a regular) will cost me around 1000 calories.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So here's the plan.&amp;nbsp; I'll skip the peanuts.&amp;nbsp;&lt;img title=&quot;Frown&quot; src=&quot;http://caloriecount.about.com/include/js/mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-frown.gif&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; alt=&quot;Frown&quot; /&gt;&amp;nbsp; Drink water (and plenty of it).&amp;nbsp; And we'll split one order of fries between the three of us.&amp;nbsp; And I &lt;em&gt;might&lt;/em&gt; only eat 2/3 of the burger.&amp;nbsp; (I'd rather have 2/3 of a bacon cheeseburger than one whole hamburger).&amp;nbsp; And two lighter (less fat) meals for the rest of the day.&amp;nbsp; We shall see how this goes.&lt;/p&gt;</description>			<comments>http://caloriecount.about.com/users/bflogal/318682.html</comments>

			<title>Oh, man...that was a good lunch</title>

			<description>&lt;p&gt;OK, I didn't lose any more weight today, but I did take my &lt;a href=&quot;http://caloriecount.about.com/summer-meatloaf-recipe-r237509&quot;&gt;meatloaf recipe&lt;/a&gt; that my family loved last night, and made myself a meatloaf sandwich for lunch.&amp;nbsp; (Right after I got off the treadmill!)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I was a little worried that it wouldn't be the same without ketchup, which I cannot eat because of my acid reflux--let alone the salt.&lt;/p&gt;

			<title>Off to a good start</title>

			<description>&lt;p&gt;Day three, and according to my obsessive compulsive scale watching, I've lost three pounds!&amp;nbsp; Yay, me!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Now the challenge starts.&amp;nbsp; Supposed to go out to lunch today, we'll see how I do with that.&amp;nbsp; I'm going to try to plan ahead and chose (and record) what I am going to eat before I go.&amp;nbsp; That should help.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The only thing that has suffered is my writing.&amp;nbsp; I need to get to editing, but I've been a bit consumed with calorie counting and exercising.&amp;nbsp; And writing is so sedentary.&amp;nbsp; Grrr.&amp;nbsp; I'm in desperate need of balance.&lt;/p&gt;

			<title>Day Two</title>

			<description>&lt;p&gt;OK, I admit it.&amp;nbsp; I'm an obsessive scale watcher, especially in the beginning.&amp;nbsp; Stepped on the scale today, and I was down a pound--actually closer to a pound and a half.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;And yes, while I know that a lot of the initial weight loss is water weight, I will take my encouragemant anywhere I can find it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Yay!&lt;/p&gt;

			<title>Off and Running, Er... Walking at First</title>

			<description>&lt;p&gt;First day on calorie count, so there's not much to report yet.&amp;nbsp; Have over a hundred pounds to lose, so I'll be around awhile.&amp;nbsp; Looking for some diet buddies.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I recorded my starting weight, ate and recorded a healthy breakfast, and will get my exercise in later.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Off to a good start.&amp;nbsp; But I know the road ahead is a long one.&lt;/p&gt;
