Entry Ho-hum
Nov 04 2009 12:57

Just kind of blah today. I didn't sleep well and stayed up later than usual even though the kids both went to bed early. It's making it very difficult to concentrate at work today.

I made some basic invitations in MS Word yesterday and my dad printed them off onto some cardstock I had leftover from my SIL's baby shower invitations. They actually look really good except my dad didn't use my final draft so the time is wrong on the invites. Now, I'm having to go through them all and correct the time by hand. Nobody thinks it's a big deal except me.

When my parents dropped off the invitations last night, they brought a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts with them. Undecided I don't understand. They eat so well. They don't eat donuts. They know we eat well and don't eat donuts. I would completely understand if it were "Oh, here's A donut for Emma!" But it's not, it's an entire dozen that will probably get thrown away. It's no use talking to them about it because they ignore me.

I also put up a post on Craigslist advertising my diaper cakes, shirts and tutus. Ryan's coworker saw it and has asked me to make a shirt and tutu for a shower gift. By Friday. Guess we'll be skipping playgroup tomorrow so I can work on it. We wouldn't have gone anyway since the kids are still sick.

Every morning, I hope that John will wake up feeling better and every morning he's worse. Emma doesn't seem to be bothered too much by her cold but John sounds and looks terrible. Puffy, water eyes. Constant runny nose. Deep, congested cough. And now some loose BMs which have caused the worst diaper rash ever. I mean, it's all over and raised like I've never seen it. I tried letting him go diaperless as much as possible last night but he left a trail of pee across his room so I had to put an end to that.

So far, we have nothing planned this weekend (knock on wood). I really need a break from the constant activities before they start up again the following weekend.

Well, my food log for the day looks great.

Awwwwww poor johnny! I love a diaperless baby though. Not gonna lie.

I'm really sick right now and I'm hoping Ari doesn't get it. She got a flu shot the other day and I didn't so maybe it's the flu and she'll be immune?? Wishful thinking maybe.

My mom is kind of like your parents but thankfully she doesn't buy food, she just buys random crap. Random crap is easier for me to toss out.

I wish I could eat only 1256 Cals. You said before that you noticed a difference in your hunger when you stopped nursing. I hope I do, too, because I am one hungry (and now very sick) mama.

Oh, Amy! I'm so sorry you're sick. I'm trying not to get it from the kids so my hands have been washed so much that they're dry. And, of course, I think the worse since my nephew has H1N1.

Oh, it's not just food with my parents. It's the random crap, too. And my grandmother just loves buying Emma things from the dollar store that break in a matter of days. Of course, when I go to throw them away, Emma acts all heartbroken about it.

Well, you're almost a half foot taller than I am. I wouldn't think you'd be able to eat as little as I do! But, yes, my appetite definitely decreased after I stopped nursing. It's not completely back to normal (I am SO hungry when I wake up) but better than it was!

My mom brings random crap and random crap food.  I think she just likes shopping, and I get her excess.  Joy.  More stuff for me to throw out.  Or eat.

Hope poor John gets to feeling better.  It stinks being little and sick and unable to do anything but feel bad.  I'm sure you've thought of this, but a warm bathroom with the shower running so it is nice and moist helps sometimes.  So does drinking warm fluids.

Your food log looks awesome - way to go!  Make a break for yourself, so you don't run yourself ragged!

Poor John, I hope he feels better!  I was just gonna say stay rested up as much as you can - when you start to feel worn down the immune system is more vulnerable and what you don't need is a sick momma taking care of sick babies!

I am hopeful the craigslist advertising gets you great business!  I didn't see the tutu's though - I guess I will check out your post! :)

Poor kiddo. Sick babies are just the pitts. Hopefully he gets better soon. There is not much to do about the diaper rash. My doctor recommens mixing together liquid malox, lotrimin, and desitin to help with it.
