Thanksgiving thoughts

It's hard to believe Thanksgiving will be here in a few days and that I've "made it" for 2 whole months now. I do remember when I first had all this problem happen, and the total despair I felt once I got home from the hospital. It was and sometimes still seems like a bad dream. And yet, through it all, I know I have grown in ways I otherwise would not have. My focus has changed in many aspects of my life, and I believe for the better. Yes, I have suffered physically, and still do and even have more to go when I get the hip revision replacement in January, but I've come through some real challenges in ways I didn't even know I had the strength to. Actually, I didn't, but I was given the strength, the fortitude to continue on. I thank God for this, and for good friends around me and online, you that are reading this and have thought of me and prayed for me too. I will again get back to healthier eating and exercising, and I will get in shape. It just will be slow in coming, slow in progressing, but slow is better than not-at-all! I haven't given up and still have high expectations. I think this adventure is not one I really welcomed, but now, I think there was and is a special reason why it happened as it did, when and where it did as well, and it makes me just that more thankful and yet more anxious to get stronger each day and get back on the wagon! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

yeah, i'm still here. :D i had a great mini vacation for my anniversary. we ended up not even staying in canada. that left more money for shopping & eating out.
i didn't worry at all about eating & i didn't even gain at all. ok, well i did make it up to 132 for one day. i ate alot & ate really late, too. i was probably just still digesting. hehe 127 the past 2 days, though.
i DID keep up with my hour & 15 minutes of activity to get my 'excellent day' on my activity computer. (watch) i even got back to doing push ups again! thanks roxie!!! one of these days, i gotta pull out my HRM & use that again.
anyway, it's back to reality now. LOL eating at home. trying to behave... yeah, back to my fiber plus bars, bananas, protein water, V8 & stuff. ewww...
i haven't posted in a bit, but i've been watching you guys. it's great to see most of you behaving. thanks guys! well, you gotta do it for yourself, not for me, but i sure do love it! :D
stay active, you guys! don't forget to switch things up every so often. don't forget to get up & get moving! every little bit helps!!! even if it's only for a few minutes.
oh! hubby finally ordered the cable for my stepper, so i should have my stepper back real soon! i'm sooooo excited!!! WooHoo!!! finally!!!

It doesn't matter what I eat - can't drop below that 133 lbs. Maybe that's just what I'm supposed to be? I know the number is psychological for me - I want to be below 130. I'm wearing a size 8 and a couple of 6 jeans, so shouldn't complain, I guess. So I've quit counting and logging calories for now.

4. A MOUSE TRAP PLACED ON TOP OF YOUR ALARM CLOCK WILL PREVENT YOU FROM ROLLING OVER AND GOING BACK TO SLEEP AFTER YOU HIT THE SNOOZE BUTTON.
5. IF YOU HAVE A BAD COUGH, TAKE A LARGE DOSE OF LAXATIVES. THEN YOU'LL BE AFRAID TO COUGH.

I lost 5 pounds and then for no reason the weight started creeping up again. All of my motivation left my body. So I ate a ahndfull of M&M peanut. Then I said no that this was not going to beat me. Now this morning that weight is gone again and I stll only lost 5 pounds,but at least it's going in the right direction. I am finding it hard to buy healthy food. I don't have much surplus money and the food bill is way too much. Anyone else finding this? Later

i've actually had my computer off since saturday! LOL not sure why... i guess it's the whole 'vacation' thing. hehe i made hubby take off for over a week & i'm only off thurs - sun, so it's actually vacation time now! i'm trying to give him a little more attention. ;)
busy week

I've had a crazy busy week. My son and DIL have gone abroad for 8 days, leaving 4 cute, exhausting kids. I do breakfast, afterschool, supper, baths and bed most nights. A babysitter arrives before supper and stays till morning. The other grandma cooks and delivers supper, picks up the laundry and delivers it clean and folded. Various aunts and neighbors do carpool. Tonight I took the 4 kids (with the sitter) out to dinner with my mom to celebrate her birthday. I am so lucky, I shouldn't complain about not losing weight. Tired, blessed, and slightly nauseous from chocolate soufle birthday cake. Next week I will do better with eating.
Interesting, when my own kids were little and I was running around like this everyday, I didn't put on weight. I also wasn't so exhausted. The whole metabolism must have been different.
