My preschooler is all better save for fatigue and a cough; my 20 month old is getting over it; My husband is all better save for the cough. I'm pretty sure that I'm fighting it off though. I'm not coughing but there is post nasal drip going on and I just don't feel right. I feel it the most when I work out. For some reason I have been huffing and puffing for a week now. I feel sore and very beat when I'm running, and that just... HAPPENED all of the sudden on Monday of last week. I thought stopping the antibiotics would help, but it didn't help. Perhaps this is my fighting it off. I need to get it together though because my 10K is in less than 2 weeks!
Last week I was mostly too scared to put on jeans because I felt bloated and off so today I decided that I need to get a pair of guy's jeans so that I'm not a "size", so that they aren't tight or fitted, and so that I can still be dressed even if I'm being neurotic. I don't understand why my self esteem is so down. I think the semester and the kids are wearing on me a little bit.
Yesterday we had a big luncheon after Sophie's (my neice's) dedication. It was lovely to be with family. I had scallops but I couldn't finish, I felt very nauseated until much later in the evening. I thought for sure I was going to get this bug, but I still seem to be fighting. I don't know what that was about! Matt and I had a great day, though. It was nice to have him back from the football game and feeling a bit better.
Sushi tonight! Unless Matt pulls "pizza" on me.... in which case I might say yes.
I would like to figure out why I've felt flushed and bloated. Is that something that happens because of antibiotics? I don't know if it s hormonal... it feels hormonal. I vacillate between hot and cold and feel like my cheeks are chimpunk-y and I sweat very easily.
((hugs)) I have been exhausted, too. And bloated. I took a day off today, completely, from everything - even decided to work from home. Feel much better this evening. Maybe you need a break? Can someone help you with the girls so you have time off from responsibilities? Also, How is your water intake? I know I must sound like a broken record, but it really helps me feel better. I don't know if the flushed and bloated feeling happens as a result of antibiotics. It's funny though because that's exactly how I felt yesterday evening, even up to the nauseated feeling you describe. For me, the nausea went away after I ate... dark chocolate, of all things. Bloating is still here, though.

Helen, why do you put up with my whining?!?! You're so wonderful. I hope I'm not triggering in any way to you as you are doing such good work. I just write in this journal to try and get my thoughts out and straighten them out, I'm just having a rough time lately. I just started taking Dong Quai, something that has worked to stabilize my hormonal swings before, and I'm hoping it helps! |
