SW on 6/25: 160 @ 5'9"

So far I lost 5 lbs in 10 days (average of 1 lb every 2 days)! Before calorie counting, I was easily eating about 3000 a day; snacking added up for me and I had no idea! For me, just being conscious of what I eat seems to help A LOT. I am currently trying a zig zag diet to confuse my metabolism to burn more calories, and that seems to work. It's hard to say whether the calorie counting alone is what works, or the zigzagging. But I am trying both just for the heck of it. My zig zag schedule is 1400 MWF, 1200 TuTh, 1600 SaSu. I am also taking Hydroxycut once or twice a day for the appetite suppressant feature, which believe it or not seems to help. I try and make it to the gym at least a couple times a week with a girlfriend. I have been working on my legs mostly, with circuit training machines, also a bit of abs and arms. Then I finish with 20-30 mins of cardio. One of the trainers at the gym said that it is best to do your cardio AFTER your weights, because you burn more that way. Good to know! (I always used to start w/ cardio). I also try to do a yoga class once a week.

I am pleased with my results so far, so hopefully this continues!
