Dont feel great today, I have never had a flu shot that I know of and I just got one for the first time yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately I think I am having a wierd reaction (I'm not allergic to eggs but I also have not eaten them in years). Today Ive had a slight cough, muscle aches, and have felt really dizzy when Ihad to stand up for more that 15 min which never happens to me. I hardly ever get sick, and i was feeling perfectly fine before. I would not have even gotten the shot but the hospital is requiring that and possibly the H1N1 vaccine also. Im hoping these symptoms go away and i dont start comming down with something. I'd have to sue someone or at least get in a few good punches....

this is my first semester in nursing school and its great. I have been working in clinicals with patients on my own which really helps build my skills and confidence. Working maternity right now in diff. areas each week but dont think the labor and delivery thing is really for me. I still like going though. My diet has not been an issue for a while. I dont really have an exercise routine but i am much more active than i use to be and i make healthy food choices on instinct now. My only complaint is how cold i seem to be all the time. The hospital feels like a freezer and no one else seems to notice.

Well I officially took two full bags of clothes to the salvation army yesterday and my closet looks a little sad but it felt wonderful. I still had some clothes back from when i wore size 16s which was probably 4 or 5 yrs ago. I still kept just 1 pair of my pre weight loss jeans just in case i ever feel like i need motivation again. I kept a few of my xl shirts as sleep shirts to! Its great being able to clean out the closet but it sucks being too poor to fill it back up.
any way ive been eating good for the past few weeks with occasional french fries now and then (evil McDonalds) I'll possibly be going to find a swim suit next week for the first time since the start of my weight loss so wish me luck. I have a constant hatred for dressing room mirrors but hope that will change.

Well I have fallen in love with this new salsa I picked up at the farmers market. Its a homemade amish mild salsa that has a kind of sweet flavor.yummm. I use it for veggies and lettuce wraps. Its kind of expensive at 4 bucks a jar but soo worth it.
Im Taking a summer course in religion right now (not fun but required) and im practically broke. I need to get a job but I dont want my last summer before NS to consist of work and stress. Ill have plenty of that later.

Final week is here and Ive had to study like crazy. Ive done well on snacking though. I always make sure I have an orange or apple near by. I have so much to do this summer to prepare for NS that i dont even know where to start. Ill need to get a head start on studying for classes (med surg and psych first semester which I heard is a killer)..Im really not looking forward to the 6 hour CPR class i will have to take and pay 60 bucks for either. Not to mention I have to finally crack down and get my drivers license that I have been avoiding getting for a long time. I would be completely satisfied with just getting a ride to clinicals forever. It would be even better if I lived within walking distance of a hospital.:)

- trying to walk more around campus by taking the long way to classes and using the stairs where ever I go.
- Upping my calories until I find maintenance ( not sure where it is)
- studying for classes
I love finding new low cal options and recipies...foods I still need to try:
- smashed cauliflower
- hummus
- cucumbers
- diet coke brownie

Well i got accepted into the nursing program for fall semester (yay!!)...and i dont know what to expect. I choose healthy things to eat but i still lack the time or motivation to do any real exercising besides walking everywhere on campus. Ive heard about all the stress ill probably have over the next 2 yrs and beyond and i just dont want to end up putting all that weight back on....
My fears of the nursing program are rather consuming at the moment..still trying to take it all in.

I am a huge snacker and am constantly chewing gum ( stride is #1) or snacking on veggies and fruit...well i saw some gerber sweet potato puffs in the store and i could not believe it, it was like 25 calories for a half a cup..(the entire container is only 150 cals) these are actually so filling and a nutritious sweet/snack food. It never occured to me that baby food could be a good low cal snack...just thought i'd share.
