Moving day has passed

And I am so glad about that. I HATE moving. I got in from Houston and then it was grind time. Our power is still not on at the condo. Hoping that changes by tonight. And silly me...I let my bf talk me into a 8 mile hike Sunday....surprisingly I'm not in too much pain. But I won't do that again the day b4 moving. I had a great time though. My bf took us out to eat at the woodlands, and we went to do laser tag and arcade games. We also went to a potluck (Saturday) We both got really moody when it was time for me to go, but I am so proud of us for making it to 1 year!

My hand is unwrapped for the first time today. It is still bruised looking, but the wound finally closed this weekend.

As far as maintenance goes...I think I am probably close to the right cals, but content wise...my food has been a mess between the holidays and moving. I plan on going groccery shopping in a couple days. But for now, I'm going to do what I have to do. I won't weight myself for another week. I hope I am around 146 when I do. But I can fit some of my size 4s and my size 26 pants from Abercrombie. Granted, they are a little bit tight, but my other option is pants that are 1-2 sizes too big and fall off, and I don't have muffin top, so I guess they will just have to be form fitting for a month or two .

New Decision

I am going to maintain my weight of appx 147 or so for a month or two for a few reasons:

I have been losing very slowly, even with a deficit of about 6-700 cals a day. My body seems to be tired of it.

I am a healthy weight

I will put the scale aside for a few weeks, eat 2100 cals a day and walk and lift weights as much as possible. Starting in January, I am going to step up the works outs some more and have a 500 cal deficit, aiming to lose the rest of the weight within 6 weeks, as well as putting on some muscle.

Pretty much, I am aiming for a total body makeover. I started it in June, and my goal is to finish by my birthday, in April. Not just weight wise, but tone, strength, flexibility, speed....

My eating has been bad. It was me and G's 1 year anniversary yesterday, so we went to Bucca De Beppo. Did not eat tooo much, but yeah, his friends had a thanksgiving leftover potluck last night.

My breakfast today was a slice of pie, and my bf wants to go out for hamburgers.....

I just looked @ the nutritional facts for

Fudds

....not too bad.

:)

I had: baked mac n cheese, ham, turkey, rump roast and ribs (don't worry, one small serving of each) a tiny bit of stuffing, some homemade bread and for dessert....a piece of my cream cheese pie, sweet potato pie, some blue bell AND a small piece of red velvet. All together...about 3-4000 for the day. My food turned out perfect. The bread was just right, soft and warm and buttery and yeasty. Everybody got a 2nd helping of the baked mac n cheese. And loved both pies.

This is not an apology or I feel soooo guilty journal. I enjoyed it. Shoot.... One day of over eating out the year is not that serious. But me and my bf went on a 4-5 mile long walk this morning, and me the bf and his sister took a mile or so walk between dinner and dessert. So about 5-6 miles today. And we plan on doing pretty good tomorrow too.

Keep moving...that is the goal. The moving belts at the airport and over relaxed people getting trolled around made me realize just how lazy we are as a society....why can't we walk to the next terminal? It should be a natural thing to just walk....anyways. I decided to never take a moving belt again, or an escalator unless absolutely necessary.

Lifestyle....can't be summed up in one day. Thanksgiving did not ruin your diet....just in case you were wondering.

One <3!!!

What I made -except for the baked mac and cheese. It had been eaten too much and no longer at all pretty. (They did not turn out as pretty as I wanted, but as far as taste, everything was a 9.5 or so, so I was happy!!!)

The Big Day!

Last day of work for the week. I leave for H-Town today! Yay!

And yes, I found my phone. I was just really stressed yesterday. Almost had a meltdown cause I made the mistake of thinking about everything I had to do. But it turned out to be a day of accomplishments:

1.) Ate decently

2.) Got most of my packing done. My room looks way better. I can finish up Sunday night when I get back, and move my stuff Monday after work.

3.) Found my phone (Thanks Sarah)

4.) Got all packed for my trip today

5.) I am registered for 2 classes in January!

I can't wait to leave this town and relax! I am cooking tonight.

I thank God for all of my wonderful friends like my buddy DZ who called me last night who are like family to me in so many ways.

Lost my phone

I was talking on it on my lunch break at home. But when I went to find it when I was ready to leave, it was nowhere to be found. I feel like such a dumb @@@ when I lose stuff. I mean by 23, I should have some type of ability to keep up with stuff. I had an important call to make TODAY regarding a job, and needed to get my ride for the airport squared away, as well as a roommate situation. And its not like I have money right now to replace it. I have packing to do, today is the main day to do it and I don't have time to go looking for stuff.

I don't know why losing stuff infuriates me so much, but it always has. And unfortunately, very often.

I always start doing stupid stuff when I am stressed.

Quit Worrying!

To all of my friends who think that Thanksgiving will sabotage their whole journey, or that they have to count calories day after tomorrow...it will be OK. Have a little turkey and pie and enjoy yourselves. I sure will. My bfs parents are going to have brisket and ribs in addition to turkey and ham and I have no plans on passing up any of them...a small piece of each. And homemade bread and baked macaroni and pie. I might gain a lb, but lbs are meant for losing.

Anyways, I am still packing stuff up. I HATE moving, but it has to get done. I am happy that we have Friday off. At first, we were told no, but they changed their minds so I don't have to call in sick. I mentioned everyone bringing in a dish to work, but no one was interested. They don't really care much for making this a nice environment. I doubt there will be X-Mas festivities either.

On the family front, not much improvement....

Kendall non stick gauze....

is a rip-off....literally.

I think it set my healing back 1 day. I am not going to type much today, cause I am one handed, but I am sure many of you have seen today's blog. I kinda just submitted my story for the heck of it, and I am surprised @ how quickly it was put up. Kinda exciting, and I know it will help me to stay on track in the future.

I am excited to go to Houston this week for Thanksgiving. I am cooking 4 dishes: sweet potato pie, cream cheese pie, home made bread and baked mac n cheese. I am excited about that. Most of my moving has to take place during these 3 days leading to my trip.

That is all. I hate one handed typing.

Have a great Monday!!!!

On Saturday...

I was not playing with my quartet....I was sleeping off some Vicodin.

Friday I fell and got a piece of glass in my left hand. Not a huge piece, but glass nevertheless, and plenty of bleeding. Had to drive myself to the ER because my friends were ready to hit the club . Got an x ray, and the doc cut it open wider to try to get the glass out. It went in deeper, so it stays. Either it works its way out harmlessly, or I get it removed surgically one day. Hope it does not cause damage, as the left hand of a cellist is especially valuable. They could not stitch it (I needed 4-5) cause the glass was still inside. My dad called cause I told my younger sister but my mom is sticking to her word of never calling me again. My "friend" never called to make sure I got there alright. Just texted me in the morning.

Worry not friends. I have painkillers and antibiotics. Just no music practice till after Thanksgiving.

I am staying around 146.8 or so, not much change, but I am happy with where I am. 6 lbs will not make me happier, just slimmer.

From GI Jane in the forum today: (a section of the post)

Put yourself first..... People who lack confidence tend to assume everyone else's needs are more important than their own. Be more selfish.

Friday

This week went by really fast. I am glad it is over though. Never want to revisit it again, I know that.

I talked to violin player # 2: J. She will also be meeting with us Saturday. I have been practicing more often lately, and I think I am getting more of my old swag back. . I am not as nervous about being the weak link in the quartet I started anymore (yes that is what I was thinking, silly I know). I wish I had not lost my part to Canon in D though . I'll just have to play the bass line over and over (boring).

I am going to go get a transcript, which is what I need to show qualification for this job as an accountant for the City. I'm going to call my friend again who was trying to help me get in as an auditor for this bank.

Not much else to say. I went to sleep at about 8:00 last night. So I had about 10 and a half hours of sleep. That felt great.
