I have been thinking of the Battle of the Bulge.  It was a name given to a surprize attack by the Germans where they tried to pierce the Allied lines.  Today, our version of the battle of the bulge is where temptation tries to pierce our will power.

Today walking into the office, I pass by the deli in the office building,  man does the bacon and stuff I smell cooking is so tempting.  Let see,  today I can have  breakfast burrito, with three eggs, potaotes, bacon, and salsa with a coke  or I can have two bags of instant oatmeal, banana and two bottles of water.  Today my front lines did not break to the smell,  I won this battle today!!!  The war will still rages with in me.  I am going to win the war, even if I had lost the battle with the smell, I will win the war.  The battle may for today, but winning the war is lifetime  victory.

Hi Lefty's Dad!

Something made me come in here to see if you were journaling (I think it was your comments to the princessbride! All good advice) and I felt like I could have written this last post! OMG ~ we eat the same breakfast and (dare I say) fight a similar fight to vanquish that bacon! ESPECIALLY the bacon! LOL

Keep up your good work. I think I need to start journaling in my profile, too.

Way to resist the temptation, eating is the biggest part of losing weight.

My husband is also a larger man, he started eating right & exercising two weeks ago and has lost an amazing 41 lbs in two weeks! Crazyness! His start weight was 366. He didn't want to look at the scale for one month so I looked & recorded for both weeks. His goal was to lose 41 in one month (get down to 325), so I think he'll be surprised.

You can do this!!
